4. Conclusion
Enhancemen+ in +he leaching ra+e of uranium ,i+h ni+ric
acid under ul+rasound irradia+ion seems +o !e onl" due +o
h"sical effec+s of ca$i+a+ion henomena& .i+ric acid is as+rong o5idi=- ing agen+% i+ o5idi=es +he (9) +o (9) a+ a
much fas+er ra+e% and hence +he leaching ra+e is con+rolled !"
