2011 HANDS-ON MISSION PROJECT

LIBERIA AND ZIMBABWEHOLSTON ANNUAL

CONFERENCEThis year the Maryville District has been asked to put together 300 school supply kits for the 2011 Holston Annual Conference Hands-On Mission Project. Walmart has filled back packs available for approximately $15 + $5 for shipping, for a total of $20. Susan McNamee has volunteered to go and purchase them if that is more convenient. Bring cash or make your check out to AFUMC.

If you are filling a back pack, please drop off it off at AFUMC by Wednesday, June 8, and they will be delivered to Fairview UMC on Thursday, June 9, 2011.

Joyce Wallace’s birthday was May 11th.

Happy Belated Birthday!

FOOD CONNECTION SUNDAYJune 5th is food collection Sunday. Please bring your food donations and place by the main entry to the church. All food will be taken to the Community Food Connection.

JOWALL PRODUCTIONSAlcoa lst sanctuary reverberated Sunday night with handclapping, toe tapping music performed by Laurel Wright, Shades of Grace, and Billy Hodges plus 4. New compositions, instrumental wizardry, impeccable harmony, and old timey gospel blended into a delightful mix of praise music. Great to see zestful musicians perform for an enthusiastic crowd. Hope you were there! Thanks, JW.
