I am expecially interested in UI

design, web design, application de- veloping, usabiliy evaluation andhuman behavior study. I am en-thusiastic on bridging the gap be-tween human and technology.

Also, I am a big tennis fan. What a

pity Roger didn't win the AustraliaOpen. But I believe he will keepshining in the following year. Be-sides that, I like most of the out-door activities. So, don’t hesitate toask me out~ friends!

Pevasive Computing has become

my favorite research topic. I amattractive to all ubicomp technol-ogy and crazy about the novel in-terfacing technques that reshapepeople’s thinking and behaviors. Iam looking forward to gettingdeeper study on this field.

Talking Points is a GROCS funded collaborative project whose aim is develop an urban orientation and con-textual information system. By using a mobile computer to read Bluetooth tags positioned around a city.User generated location information, which is stored in an online database, is presented to the user viaeither an audio or visual modular interface. This information is retrieved by the cellular data connectedmobile device when the user comes within close proximity to a “Talking Point.” The information for eachTalking Point is maintained by the Talking Points community; anyone can add, modify, or delete informa-tion for each Talking Point.

I am in the Android Development team to implement the functionality on Android platform. Our challengeis to get familiar with Android software architecture and generate an effective solution on Android platformfor visually impaired people.

Since our first versioin of talkingpoints is mainly for visually impaired users. We don't have fancy graphicaluser interface. Instead, we were making effort to simplify the interface to really meet users need.
