Last Sundays anniversary service helped us appreciate the children and youth ministry at Emmanuel through the yearsthanks to all those who participated in the service. Pastor Kurt and Mona had a great time visiting family in Charlotte, NC last weekend. The Mission Lunch for Meredith McClain's trip to Thailand raised over $1400. The J Dollar Breakfast this past week raised over $1600 for a local mission project. Thanks to Jewel Lusk and her helpers who prepared a great breakfast. MOPS Rummage & Bake Sale - The Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) Rummage and Bake Sale will be on Saturday, April 6 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (1/2 price sale begins at 2:00 p.m. and $1/bag starts at 3:00 p.m.!). Come and see what great treasures you may find!

Youth Life Group meets on the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays at 6:00 p.m. at the Raitz’s House.

- For the babies: Q-tips, pacifiers, receiving blankets, seasonal clothing (newborn-18 months), gowns, onesies, sleepers, socks

- For mothers: breast-feeding supplies, lotions, tissues, gas only gift cards of $10 from Speedway.

America for Christ Offering 2019 - During the month of March, we will be collecting for America for Christ. Your gifts impact thousands—through ministries with marginalized children, mission trips that transform lives torn asunder by hurricanes, resources that cultivate Christian leaders, chaplains who bring comfort to hospital and nursing homes, and much more. Let us not become weary in doing good!

Safety/Security Meeting - There will be a Safety / Security Lunch Meeting today, March 24 at Noon. Pizza will be served.

Easter Shoeboxes - Easter shoeboxes are waiting to be filled! There are plastic shoeboxes in the Narthex or you may use your own. We fill these each year for local children and they are distributed at the offices of the WIC program at the Health Dept. The boxes may be packed for girls or boys ages 1 –12 years old. You may include many of the same items used in the Christmas shoeboxes plus liquids, chocolate, stuffed animals, hygiene items, cars, ribbons, etc. The church will provide a small Bible, but other Easter books or cards would be nice to include too. Return the boxes by Sunday, April 14, when they will be dedicated.

Special Offering - If you would like to help with the flooding in the Midwest, make a check to EBC and put OGHS Midwest Flood Relief on the memo line (One Great Hour of Sharing).

Women’s Camp - Join us in trying to fill a cabin of Emmanuel Baptist women at Women’s Camp at Camp Cowen! The Fourth Annual Women’s Camp is April 5-7, 2019 and is a great place to praise God with our multi-generational sisters in Christ from all over West Virginia. The schedule and the registration form are on the Ministry Table. Invite your sister, daughter (18 or older), cousin, mom, or friend, the more the merrier. Women’s Spring Rally - The Parkersburg Assoc. ABW Ministries’ Spring Rally is Thursday April 11 at Vienna Baptist Church. Registration is at 5:00 p.m., Business Meeting at 5:30, Dinner at 6:00—served by the church for a donation of $6.00/person, followed by a program. Sue Hamric and Dee Lallemont will be the guest speakers. Sign up on the Sign-Up page insert in today’s bulletin. The Rally project chosen is to raise money for Keith & Debbie Myers to provide Vacation Bible School to 35 churches in Mexico this summer. Monetary donations will be accepted at the Rally.

“Dash for the “Stache” - We are having an Emmanuel Team to run/walk in this 5k Fundraiser on April 13 for Camp Cowen. Please let Rowena know if you would like to join the team or donate. Information and registrations are on the Children’s Bulletin Board.

Church Yard Sale - We will be having a Church Yard Sale on Saturday, May 11 to raise money for the Herman James Mission fund. Start saving your “stuff” to donate to the sale: nice clothing, glassware, furniture, knick-knacks, etc. No TV’s or computers please. One man’s junk is another man’s treasure!
