QuestionAfter the installation of the latest RSLogix 5000 AOP for non-CIP drive, you could have the following problems:

Not able to choose the right revision of drive in Module Definition1.PowerFlex 755 High Power Drive shown as in the I/O Configuration2.

Opening the properties of the Unknown module, you get the following error message:

Failed to Create Module Profile.Module Profile Not Installed.Error 8609-0

What can I do in this situation?

AnswerInstalling the latest RSLogix 5000 Drive Add-On Profiles (non CIP Motion) will allow RSLogix 5000 to be able to add the module profile of the drive under I/O Configurationespecially newly released drives or communication modules.

Once completed the AOP installation, be sure that also the Drive Database installed in your PC is the right one. Go to ALLEN-BRADLEY WEB UPDATES, click on eitherPowerFlex 753 or PowerFlex 755 which are under PowerFlex 750-Series Drives -> DriveTools SP / RSLogix5000 Drive Database Files -> click on the Drive Firmware and itwill install automatically.

Note: If the firmware revision still not available after the particular AOP of the drive firmware has been installed, try to close the RSLogix 5000 and start again, make sure theDrive Communication Server and Drive Database Server also have been shut down too.
