We could say that the true light enters the world through the immaculate womb of Mary but it does not stay there. On the contrary, this light flows out into our dark, obscure, sinful lives to illuminate them, so that we can become the light that illuminates the world. For this reason, let us live this time of waiting not only to celebrate a historical memory but to repeat this memory in our lives and in the service of others. To wait for the Lord who comes, means to wait and to watch so that the Word of Love enters inside us and focuses us every day of our lives. St. Joseph Church Christmas Flowers and Wreaths are for sale this weekend. A CONSECRATION TO THE HOLY FAMILY will help families live out the joy of Christ. Families will come together to consecrate themselves under the protection of the Holy Family. Consider this as your Advent journey and prepare by praying together as a family. The consecration will take place during Masses the weekend of the Feast of the Holy Family, December 28 & 29. More details to come!

PARISH OFFERINGS for the weekend of November 24th were $12,257.00 with $715.00 received into our

Building Fund and $95.00 for Christmas altar

flowers. The average return per envelope was $30.14, a great testimony to the generous response of our people in gratitude to

God for the blessings and gifts they have received. We are so grateful for your weekly support.

WHAT IS TITHING-it is giving a tenth of all we have...as taught in the Scriptures. A tithing testimony:

Approximately 5 years ago my husband and I began tithing a percentage of our income. Since then we have not had to pay any

finance charges on our credit cards. We have managed to take vacations, go on business trips, assist family members

financially and donate funds or material goods on occasion. Prior to tithing, there never seemed to be enough! We always

carried a charge card balance and paying the finance charge was a way of life. Tithing has taught us that we can never out give God! The more we give, the more we seem to receive in return.

There is now NOT only enough, but MORE than enough, a true testament to, "My God shall supply all your needs”. Philippians 4:19
