Surah Qaaf (The letter ‘qaaf’)

�� ح�يم الر� ح�من� الر� الله� � م ��س ب

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful


يد� �م#ج� ال آن� ��ق&ر و#ال ق

[50:1] Qaf. I swear by the glorious Quran (that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah)


��ه&م م,ن م&نذ�ر. �ج#اءه&م #ن أ &وا ب ع#ج� �#ل بع#ج�يب. ي�ء. ش# ه#ذ#ا ون# #اف�ر& �ك ال ف#ق#ال#

[50:2] Nay! they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, so the

unbelievers say: This is a wonderful thing:


#ع�يد. ب ج�ع. ر# �ك# ذ#ل Dا اب &ر# ت �ا &ن و#ك #ا �ن م�ت �ذ#ا #ئ أ

[50:3] What! when we are dead and have become dust? That is afar (from probable) return.


��ه&م م�ن ر�ض&# �األ #نق&ص& ت م#ا #ا �م�ن ع#ل �ق#د

ح#ف�يظ. #اب. �ت ك #ا ند#ن و#ع�

[50:4] We know indeed what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a writing that preserves.


ف�ي �ف#ه&م �ج#اءه&م #م�ا ل �ح#ق, �ال ب &وا #ذ�ب ك �#ل ب Sم�ر�يج Sر�م

[50:5] Nay, they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are (now) in a state of confusion.


�ف#و�ق#ه&م م#اء الس� �ل#ى إ وا #نظ&ر& ي �#م #ف#ل أم�ن #ه#ا ل و#م#ا �اه#ا �ن ي و#ز# #اه#ا �ن #ي #ن ب �ف# #ي ك

Sوج ف&ر&

[50:6] Do they not then look up to heaven above them how We have made it and adorned it and it

has no gaps?


ي# و#اس� ر# ف�يه#ا #ا �ن �ق#ي #ل و#أ #اه#ا م#د#د�ن ر�ض## �و#األ

Sه�يج# ب Sج�و ز# &ل, ك م�ن ف�يه#ا #ا �ن #ت #نب و#أ

[50:7] And the earth, We have made it plain and cast in it mountains and We have made to grow

therein of all beautiful kinds,


Sيب� من Sد� ع#ب &ل, �ك ل ى �ر# و#ذ�ك Dة �ص�ر# #ب ت

[50:8] To give sight and as a reminder to every servant who turns frequently (to Allah).


#ا �ن #ت نب# ف#أ Dا ك #ار# مب م#اء م#اء الس� م�ن# #ا �ن ل #ز� و#ن

�ح#ص�يد� ال و#ح#ب� Sات� ن ج# �ه� ب

[50:9] And We send down from the cloud water abounding in good, then We cause to grow

thereby gardens and the grain that is reaped,


�ض�يد. ن �ع. ط#ل �ه#ا ل Sق#ات #اس� ب �خ�ل# و#الن

[50:10] And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another,


Dا �ت م�ي Dد#ة� #ل ب �ه� ب #ا �ن #ي ي �#ح و#أ #اد� �ع�ب ,ل ل قDا �ر�زوج& �خ&ر& ال �ك# #ذ#ل ك

[50:11] A sustenance for the servants, and We give life thereby to a dead land; thus is the rising.


ص�ح#اب& # و#أ Sوح& ن ق#و�م& �#ه&م �ل ق#ب �#ت #ذ�ب ك

#م&ود& و#ث الر�س,

[50:12] (Others) before them rejected (prophets): the people of Nuh and the dwellers of Ar-Rass

and Thamud,


Sوط& ل �خ�و#ان& و#إ ع#و�ن& �و#ف�ر و#ع#اد.

[50:13] And Ad and Firon and Lut's brethren,


#ذ�ب# ك pل& ك Sع� &ب ت و#ق#و�م& #ة� �ك #ي �األ ص�ح#اب&# و#أ

يد� و#ع� ف#ح#ق� الرس&ل#

[50:14] And the dwellers of the grove and the people of Tuba; all rejected the messengers, so

My threat came to pass.


ف�ي �ه&م �#ل ب و�ل�# �األ ل�ق� �خ# �ال ب #ا �ين #ف#ع#ي أ

Sج#د�يد Sق�خ#ل �م,ن Sس� #ب ل

[50:15] Were We then fatigued with the first creation? Yet are they in doubt with regard to a

new creation.


م#ا #م& #ع�ل و#ن ان# �نس# �اإل #ا #ق�ن ل خ# �#ق#د و#لب& #ق�ر# أ #ح�ن& و#ن ه& #ف�س& ن �ه� ب و�س& �&و#س ت

�و#ر�يد� ال �ل� ب ح# �م�ن �ه� #ي �ل إ

[50:16] And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are

nearer to him than his life-vein.


و#ع#ن� #م�ين� �ي ال ع#ن� #ان� #ق,ي #ل �م&ت ال #ق�ى #ل #ت ي ��ذ إق#ع�يد. م#ال� الش,

[50:17] When the two receivers receive, sitting on the right and on the left.


ق�يب. ر# �ه� #د#ي ل �ال� إ Sل�ق#و م�ن �ف�ظ& #ل ي م#ا�يد. ع#ت

[50:18] He utters not a word but there is by him a watcher at hand.


م#ا �ك# ذ#ل �ح#ق, �ال ب �م#و�ت� ال ة& �ر# ك س# �و#ج#اءتيد& #ح� ت �ه& م�ن &نت# ك

[50:19] And the stupor of death will come in truth; that is what you were trying to escape.


يد� �و#ع� ال #و�م& ي �ك# ذ#ل الصور� ف�ي &ف�خ# و#ن

[50:20] And the trumpet shall be blown; that is the day of the threatening.


�ق. ائ س# م�ع#ه#ا Sس�#ف ن &ل ك �و#ج#اءته�يد. و#ش#

[50:21] And every soul shall come, with it a driver and a witness.


#ا ف�ن #ش# ف#ك ه#ذ#ا �م,ن Sة# غ#ف�ل ف�ي &نت# ك �#ق#د لح#د�يد. #و�م# �ي ال ك# #ص#ر& ف#ب غ�ط#اءك# ع#نك#

[50:22] Certainly you were heedless of it, but now We have removed from you your veil, so your

sight today is sharp.


�يد. ع#ت #د#ي� ل م#ا ه#ذ#ا &ه& ق#ر�ين و#ق#ال#

[50:23] And his companions shall say: This is what is ready with me.


Sيد� ع#ن Sف�ار# ك &ل� ك �م# ج#ه#ن ف�ي #ا �ق�ي #ل أ

[50:24] Do cast into hell every ungrateful, rebellious one,


Sمر�يب Sد# م&ع�ت �ر� ي �خ# ,ل ل Sاع� م�ن

[50:25] Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter,


#اه& �ق�ي ل# ف#أ آخ#ر# #هDا �ل إ �ه� الل م#ع# ج#ع#ل# �ذ�ي ال

د�يد� الش� �ع#ذ#اب� ال ف�ي

[50:26] Who sets up another god with Allah, so do cast him into severe chastisement.


#ان# ك #ك�ن و#ل &ه& �ت ط�غ#ي# أ م#ا #ا �ن ب ر# &ه& ق#ر�ين ق#ال#

Sع�يد# ب Sل ض#ال# ف�ي

[50:27] His companion will say: Our Lord! I did not lead him into inordinacy but he himself was

in a great error.


ق#د�م�ت& �و#ق#د #د#ي� ل #ص�م&وا ت �#خ ت ال# ق#ال#يد� �و#ع� �ال ب &م �ك #ي �ل إ

[50:28] He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening

beforehand:


S م �ظ#ال� ب #ا #ن أ و#م#ا #د#ي� ل �ق#و�ل& ال #د�ل& &ب ي م#ا�يد� �ع#ب ,ل ل

[50:29] My word shall not be changed, nor am I in the least unjust to the servants.


#ق&ول& و#ت �ت� #أل# ام�ت ه#ل� �م# �ج#ه#ن ل #ق&ول& ن #و�م# ي Sم�ز�يد م�ن � ه#ل

[50:30] On the day that We will say to hell: Are you filled up? And it will say: Are there any

more?


Sع�يد# ب �ر# غ#ي �ق�ين# �م&ت �ل ل �ة& ن �ج# ال �ف#ت� ل �&ز و#أ

[50:31] And the garden shall be brought near to those who guard (against evil), not far off:


Sح#ف�يظ Sو�اب# أ &ل, �ك ل &وع#د&ون# ت م#ا ه#ذ#ا

[50:32] This is what you were promised, (it is) for every one who turns frequently (to Allah), keeps

(His limits);


و#ج#اء �ب� �غ#ي �ال ب ح�م#ن الر� خ#ش�ي# �م#ن Sيب� من Sب��ق#ل ب

[50:33] Who fears the Beneficent Allah in secret and comes with a penitent heart:


&ود� ل �خ& ال #و�م& ي �ك# ذ#ل S م ال# �س# ب &وه#ا ل اد�خ&

[50:34] Enter it in peace, that is the day of abiding.


م#ز�يد. #ا �ن #د#ي و#ل ف�يه#ا اؤ&ون# #ش# ي م�ا #ه&م ل

[50:35] They have therein what they wish and with Us is more yet.


د^ #ش# أ �ه&م Sن �ق#ر م,ن #ه&م �ل ق#ب #ا �ن #ك #ه�ل أ �#م و#كم�ن �ه#ل د� �ال# �ب ال ف�ي &وا #ق�ب ف#ن ا Dش�#ط ب �ه&م م�ن

Sم�ح�يص

[50:36] And how many a generation did We destroy before them who were mightier in prowess than they, so they went about and about in the lands. Is there a

place of refuge?


#ه& ل #ان# ك �م#ن ل ى �ر# #ذ�ك ل �ك# ذ#ل ف�ي �ن� إه�يد. ش# و#ه&و# م�ع# الس� �ق#ى #ل أ �و

# أ ق#ل�ب.

[50:37] Most surely there is a reminder in this for him who has a heart or he gives ear and is a

witness.


و#م#ا ر�ض## �و#األ م#او#ات� الس� #ا #ق�ن ل خ# �#ق#د و#ل

م�ن #ا ن م#س� و#م#ا S �ام #ي أ �ة� ت س� ف�ي #ه&م#ا �ن #ي بSلغ&وب

[50:38] And certainly We created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six periods

and there touched Us not any fatigue.


�ح#م�د� ب �,ح ب و#س# &ون# #ق&ول ي م#ا ع#ل#ى ��ر ف#اص�ب�ل# و#ق#ب م�س� الش� &وع� ط&ل �ل# ق#ب ,ك# ب ر#

وب� �غ&ر& ال

[50:39] Therefore be patient of what they say, and sing the praise of your Lord before the rising of

the sun and before the setting.


السج&ود� #ار# #د�ب و#أ ,ح�ه& ب ف#س# �ل� �ي الل و#م�ن#

[50:40] And glorify Him in the night and after the prayers.


Sان# م�ك م�ن #اد� �م&ن ال #اد� &ن ي #و�م# ي �#م�ع ت �و#اسSق#ر�يب

[50:41] And listen on the day when the crier shall cry from a near place


�ك# ذ#ل �ح#ق, �ال ب �ح#ة# الص�ي م#ع&ون# �#س ي #و�م# يوج� �خ&ر& ال #و�م& ي

[50:42] The day when they shall hear the cry in truth; that is the day of coming forth.


�م#ص�ير& ال #ا �ن #ي �ل و#إ &م�يت& و#ن �ي ي �&ح ن #ح�ن& ن �ا �ن إ

[50:43] Surely We give life and cause to die, and to Us is the eventual coming;


�ك# ذ#ل اعDا ر# س� ��ه&م ع#ن ر�ض&# �األ ق�ق& #ش# ت #و�م# ي

ير. #س� ي #ا �ن #ي ع#ل ر. � ح#ش

[50:44] The day on which the earth shall cleave asunder under them, they will make haste; that is

a gathering together easy to Us.


#نت# أ و#م#ا &ون# #ق&ول ي �م#ا ب #م& #ع�ل أ #ح�ن& نم#ن آن� ��ق&ر �ال ب �,ر ف#ذ#ك Sار� ب �ج# ب �ه�م #ي ع#ل

يد� و#ع� #خ#اف& ي

[50:45] We know best what they say, and you are not one to compel them; therefore remind him by

means of the Quran who fears My threat.
