Tip 1: Take a Screenshot!If you want to save images from within apps, of a piece of work you have done, a brilliant score in your favourite game, you can take a screenshot of the current view of your iPad.!!To do this, press the Home button (bottom centre) and Sleep/Wake button (top right) at the same time. !!The screen flashes and a camera shutter sound will play. !!Your images will be saved to the camera roll album in the Photos App.

Tip 2: Make some foldersYou can group apps together in folders to make them easier to find. You can group them however you like.!!To make a folder, simply press and hold one app that you want to move until it starts to shake. Then drag the app on top of another to create the folder.!!You can name the folder so you know what apps are in it.!!Tap outside the folder to get back to your other apps so you can drag more into the folder you have created or to make another. You can store as many apps as you want in each folder.!!Folders can be moved around in the same way as an app can and even placed in the dock for access on every app page.!

Tip 3: Dock two more appsThe Dock (at the bottom of each screen) is a great place to store your most-used apps.!!Did you know you can have up six?!!To move apps into the Dock, simply press and hold the app or folder ! your want to move until it starts shaking, then drag it into the position you want.!!You can simply drag icons off the dock if you want to make space for different ones.!

Tip 4:Shake to undo or redoIf you make a mistake while typing, you can shake the iPad and an Undo Typing message will appear. !!If you undo something in error, you can shake the iPad again and a Redo Typing option will pop up.!!If you’re not too keen on shaking your iPad the undo option can also be found by pressing the .?123 key on the keyboard and a redo button by pressing the #+= key.!

Tip 5: DictationIf you have an iPad 3 or later, or an iPad mini you can use the dictation tool to type your messages out for you.!!The dictation tool can be found on the keyboard to the left side of the space bar. The key has a picture of a microphone on it.!!To start dictating simply press the microphone key, you will hear a “ding” sound which indicates the dictation tool is working. Once you have finished, just press “done”!!(if the key isn’t visible enable Siri from the Settings app, then general.!!You can even include punctuation, just speak it. For example, to get “The iPad is a great tool, I just can’t get enough of it!” you would say “The iPad is a great tool comma I just can’t get enough of it exclamation mark”!!If you are dictating a longer document you can even add paragraphs by saying “new paragraph.”!!In order for Diuctation to work, you will need Siri turned on and a good internet or data connection.!
