§  Often the victim of jokes about my front teeth in both grade and middle school, I went to get braces at the age of 15. I was hopeful

that by changing the way my teeth looked it would also change the

worked! By the time I graduated high school I was voted “prettiest

smile,” completing a tremendous boost to my self-esteem.

appearance. I made a conscious decision to alter my appearance at

a young age, and it has made all the difference in the world.
