5. Relationship to the U.S. Department of Education The University of New Orleans federal Title IV financial aid programs are clear of any limitations, suspensions, or terminations within the three-year requested period of reporting. This is evidenced by the Eligibility Certification and Approval (ECAR) and the Program Participation Agreement (PPA) provided by the U.S. Department of Education. The report provides authorization for the acceptance and issuance of Title IV campus-based funding from the federal government through September 30, 2017. The Department of Education has authorized federal funding for the four most recent academic years, 2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13, and 2013-14. To ensure compliance with federal financial aid program regulations, the University submits the program for review by external and independent auditors in accordance with federal OMB Circular A-133, Section 220. The University of New Orleans has not been placed on any exceptional status in regard to federal or state financial aid.
