Camp Survey Last week I posted the following News Feed item on Compass: When we first ran our Mt Baw Baw camp 2 years ago, I made the commitment to run a snow camp every second year to provide students the opportunity to consolidate and further their ski skills. This year is meant to be a snow camp year, however I've had a couple students comment that they're not that interested in it. Can you please have a chat to your child/ren and complete this short (1question!) Survey Monkey so I can gauge the overall interest. Thanks! Today is the last day to have input. If you want to have input and haven't done so already, please log in to COMPASS and follow the link to the Survey Monkey. School Council Annual General Meeting Thank you to all of our School Council members for their tremendous effort working on behalf of our school community, maintaining a watchful eye on the finances, policy development and educational programs at the school. School Council nominations have been received and we look forward to welcoming the new Councillors to our AGM on Monday . School Council Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 16th March at the School at 5:00pm Haven’t got a COMPASS Account? Pop into the school Admin Mon, Tues or Thursday and Di will assist with set-up, log-ins or how to use the Compass App. The Compass app can be installed on any Smart phone Android/Iphone and on tablets/ipads. Compass is the primary means of communicating important information to our families, reporting to families on student data and an easy means of recording your child's absence. Parent Payment Policy Toora Primary School Council has passed the School policy in line with the Department of Education’s guidelines. The policy includes a number of payment options to support parents to access the materials and services associated with their child's education. The school-level parent payment policy is available on the school website. If you have any queries or wish to discuss your circumstances and payment options available to you, please contact the school to make an appointment. The 2020 Parent payment has been set at $150 per student and is payable now.
The District Athletics will be held at Foster Secondary College on Wednesday 25th March. Further
information will be distributed when I receive it.

“I didn’t want any Grannies to explode. I just wanted a paper round.”
Charlie and the War Against the Grannies bursts on to the stage in a rampaging
musical comedy for children aged 5 and up! Written by and starring Alan Brough (Spicks and Specks), this world premiere production comes to life with
shadow puppetry, live music and three really stinky farts. All 12-year old Charlie Duncan wanted was a simple paper round. What he uncovers is a league of evil
grannies plotting to set up a ‘Granny State’, where everyone will be forced to wear brown cardigans, go to bed early and there will be NO CHILDREN! The stakes are high and it’s up to Charlie and his best friend Hils to go to
war with the fiendish grannies and stop them taking over the world. Can Charlie and Hils save the day? Find out when this hilarious production full of warmth, friendship and
ridiculousness lands on stage these autumn school holidays.

Student Leadership Conference Today all Grade 5/6 students attended a Student Leadership Workshop in
Inverloch, which has been organised by the South Gippsland Assistant Principals Network. The day included presentations from guest speakers
and participating in activities with students from schools right across South Gippsland. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students, as most other
schools only send their school captains/vice captains.
Congratulations to all of our students receiving awards over the past fortnight. Aussie of the Month - Levi

TOORA PRIMARY SCHOOL COLOUR RUN
Junior School News In March we welcomed our 12 Prep
students to full time school (for the month of February the Preps have enjoyed their Wednesdays as a rest day)
All students have settled into the school year well and
are quickly learning school and classrooms rules and our school values
It has been wonderful to have Education Support staff
member Deb Clavarino in the room with us.
There has been lots of learning happening over this exciting start to the year. Students have been learning
about height and size, number's and animals.
Don’t forget to ask your child what they learnt today and encourage meaningful conversation.
