The film shows the incredible risks the Sherpas take to make the ascent of Everest possible for foreign climbers. The terrible 2014 avalanche disaster struck whilst she was making her documentary, and she was there to document the terrible grief and consequences that followed. A insightful, sensitive, thought provoking and poignant film, with some spectacular photography and scenery. There is usually a bar at our evening performances, when the doors open from 7:00pm. Set during the Cold War in the 1950s, the film tells the story of a musical director (Tomasz Kot) who discovers a young singer (Joanna Kulig), and follows their lives over the years. The story of a passionate love affair between two people of different backgrounds and temperaments, who are fatefully mismatched and yet condemned to each other. An impossible love story in impossible times. The beautiful photography helps makes this film one of the films of the 2018!
