5 Key Factors in Being Ageless.Otherwise known as Aging Gracefully.

Key #1: Hair Colour that Exults on High

✤ The good news is that the hair colouring process has evolved so you can get the highlights, lowlights and tones that work for your colouring. You’ll notice how Jane Fonda’s beautiful golden tones give her a halo effect, her cut also gives her a little lift around the face...bonus.

Key #2: Architectural Brows✤ If you were the unfortunate partaker of

the plucked brow in the 90’s- you may feel as those you’re never going to regain the lush look with your brows. If that is a problem, Latisse is an option. The trick to a good brow- impeccable grooming. We like trimming brows with scissors (by a professional so don’t get snip-happy). They can also make sure your arch is correct for your face shape. Cindy’s brows were her trademark (in addition to the beauty mark) and they give her face shape.

Key #3: Eye-Accessorize

✤ This is more of a trick rather than an essential- but eyeglasses really do help. Diane Keaton is known for her love of accessories but her eyeglasses give structure to her face. They make her eyes pop but it also helps to wear make-up underneath. Mascara and eyeliner are still your friends and they keep you from looking ‘tired’ or muted.

Key # 4: Dewy, Natural-Looking Make-up

✤ This is partly to do with make-up, partly to do with skincare. You do need a good regimen that works with your own skin barrier to prevent water loss and something that binds water molecules in the skin. As for make-up, you’ll see how Kate’s skin reflects light better in her more recent picture. Mineral make-up is excellent for they way that it does just that. Also to boot- a lip colour that mimics a natural lip with a little bit of gloss helps too. However, if you get the other bits about your make-up right, go for the bright lipstick and have a little fun!

Key #5: Bright and Clear Skin

✤ Living la Dolce Vita can be hard on your skin. Some might think that Monica’s olive complexion served her well but actually these skin types can suffer the worst. The reason is that darker skin tones do not burn as easily as their fairer friends. But they also miss out on the early warning system that says ‘get out of the sun- this is bad for you’. Monica must have been good at some point in her life about sunscreen or she just knows a good dermatologist. You can fix past mistakes with good skincare and a little help from light-based procedures. At some point though, you’re going to need to start with the sun protection to preserve your results.
