  • Meat free Monday In the canteen they will be serving a larger range of vegetarian meals. Having a meat free meal once a week can reduce your fat intake. You can replace the meat in a dish using Quorn, tofu, soya bean etc Mo Farah is a spokes person for Quorn explaining how it is a healthy protein. You dont have to be a vegetarian to choose a meat free option.

Do you ever feel tried, low on energy have a lack of concentration? This could be because you skipped breakfast. • Drink More Water At break and lunch there will be water top up stations from Real3. We should aim to drink 8 glasses of water a day to make sure our body's are hydrated and healthy. Not getting enough water causes the body to become tired and fatigued. Being hydrated improves concentration. Drinking water fights off illness by boosting the immune system. And lastly water can help a person feel good!

  • Have 5 a Day Real3 will have a free fruit stall were you can add to your 5 a day challenge. Fruit and vegetables are a good source of vitamins and minerals, including folate, vitamin C and potassium. Fruit and vegetables contribute to a healthy and balanced diet. Keep carrots, celery and cucumber washed and cut into pieces in a box in the fridge - ideal for a quick snack. Spread the five portions throughout the day. Include a portion of fruit with breakfast cereal, to get the first one in early, and include fruit as a mid morning snack. Make a home made pizza and pile on the veg toppings - it counts as one portion.
