Knowledge Management System - Functionality

Following unique requirements were collected from the Google Sheet we circulated:

- Key word search

- Browse files based on topic structure

- Be notified if new content is available

- Discuss with others on a topic

- Get industry news

- Find contact information and skills of other community member/ Get in touch with other champions

- To share my thoughts and knowledge : through blogs or forum

- Ensure the content is authentic

- Restrict use of classified content to a specific group of users

- Event calendar

- In normal case I want access to data 24 x 7

- Allow 50 concurrent and > 10000 users

- Backup

- Audit trail of the content

Knowledge Management System - Approach

Per the requirements there are various software options available and we propose the following approach:

- Attempt to get a sponsor for a professional software which matches the requirements best.

- Implement the software and customize it for the community.

Alternatively, we resort to a lean approach wherein we leverage the IoE Architecture Reference project to provide requirements for a MVP.

to examine the policy and ethical issues surrounding the Internet of Things

Cars have a lot to tell us MIL is not granular enough for most

people OBD is standardised. Vehicles are

not.
