4CNW Talent Scotland: Discovery Event for Businesses and Creatives took place in Inverness on Monday 11 February 2013. The event provided the opportunity for eligible businesses and creative professionals to find out more about 4CNW Talent. 4CNW Talent Scotland invites Scottish businesses in the Agri-food, Life Sciences, Technology and Tourism sectors to apply for a talent voucher (between €1,000 and €5,000) to commission the services of a creative professional who can offer new areas of expertise to help solve a business challenge. Applications will be assessed by an expert panel with successful businesses required to match their award creating a commissioning pot of up to €10,000 per project. Cultural Enterprise Office have been appointed as the Scottish brokers for 4CNW and to be working in collaboration with The Creative State North West which brings together partners in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. 4CNW (Creative Challenge Celtic Crescent North West) is one of 4 European projects set up to encourage the use of creative thinking as a powerful business tool. Scottish businesses with a challenge are invited to submit an online application by Monday 18 February 2013. To be eligible businesses must: have a business address in Scotland; come from the Tourism, Technology, Life Sciences or Agri Food sectors; be looking to grow their business through the innovative development of products, services or marketing; and, have completed their first year of trading.

4CNW TALENT Fund

• Between 1,000 and 5,000 euros in cash awarded to selected businesses

• The award must be matched by the business to create a fund of 2,000 to 10,000 euros

• The fund is used to commission a creative business to deliver products or services

• The 4CNW fund is non diminimus and can be used in combination with other funding

Creative Selection

• Businesses who have been successful will meet with brokers to develop project brief

• 3 Creatives will be invited to pitch for each project – support will be given for pitch preparation

• The Business will select the Creative they wish to appoint – support will be given to write contract

• Support is available from the broker throughout the project period for all parties

We run a medical device company that supplies devices to hospitals.
