UNIVERSITY OF EAST ASIA

University of East Asia(UEA) which is located Shimonoseki, Japan accepts about 1-2 overseas students underthe student exchange program of all department. The exchange period is set at six months as principal. Theyattend lectures on Japanese language and culture, as well as those on their specialist study area ( teaching isgenerally given in Japanese). They as well as regular students can use facilities on campus (e.g., PC, library,training gym). It is possible to take japanese language classes offered by the all of department, University ofEast Asia with tutition exemption. If you wish to study at UEA as an Exchange Student, you must contact the international office of your university.Deadlines for application are as follows. Commencing in April: End of December 2019Commencing in September: End of May 2020 Screening the application forms, UEA decides at faculty meetings the department you belong and your academicadviser. Then UEA applies to the Immigration Bureau for " Certificates Of Eligibility" on behalf of you. Duration 1 Semester (April 2020 - August 2020 / September 2020 - February 2021)Fee Tuition, Application fees, matriculation are exempted while students remain enrolled at their home university where they pay the tuition fees.

9. Letter of Guarantee to pay expenses. (Written by the person guaranteeing to pay the expenses overseas guarantor.)

10.Documentation showing the relationship between the applicant and the overseas guarantor, such as a copy of his/her family register or a public document which shows the relationship between them.

11. Bank statement of the overseas guarantor.

12.Document that proves the overseas guarantor has enough savings to pay expenses including a copy of the bankbook of the overseas guarantor.(All pages.)

13. Certificate of employment of the overseas guarantor for past three years.

14.Certificate of income of the overseas guarantor for the past three years. (Three certificates, one for each year.)

Exchange student applicants need to apply to the Home University, University of East Asia University by sending the following documents through the university you are currently attending. The deadline for application is at least five months before the period for which a student wishes to study at University of East Asia.
