let your guests know it has already been taken care of by you with the 18% that is added on. In these

cases, there will not be any tip reciprocal left out on the bar. Bartenders will also inform your guests

that tipping is not necessary. Guests may still leave additional cash tips if they wish.

Liquor Policy... In an effort to make your event memorable, as well as safe, we are providing this information for the

protection and well-being of all of our guests. In compliance with the NH State Liquor Commission and local law enforcement agencies the following policies have been developed:

-The Castle in the Clouds reserves the right to refuse service of alcohol to anyone without proper ID we will require picture ID of anyone who appears to be under 30 years of age. Please make sure everyone in

your party has positive identification to avoid any inconvenience

-We do not service intoxicated guests nor will we serve guests to the point of intoxication.

-No bottle beer will be dispensed without first removing the cap.

-Guests will not have more than one drink in front of them at any one time, excluding wine served

with dinner.

-Alcohol “shots” will not be sold or provided to guests. No exceptions.

-Alcoholic beverages may not be taken onto dance floor per NH Law.

-Alcoholic beverages will not be served to any contracted vendors (i.e DJ’s, Photographers)

regardless of whether they are contracted privately.

-Castle in the Clouds reserves the right to discontinue beverage service if any policies and

procedures are violated.

-We do not set minimums. Bar pricing will be dependent on items purchased and guest

consumption.

-For your convenience you may choose only one bar option or combine more than one bar option.

-A credit card will be needed 2 weeks prior to the reception for any special orders or Open Bars.

-Please be sure to add 18% Service Gratuity to any beverage items you are considering.

-As stated by the state of New Hampshire, alcohol will not be served after 1:00am and the bar service will be closed if additional hours to the Castle Package is purchased. The Castle standard last call is 45

minutes prior to the end time. Castle in the Clouds reserves the right to pronounce last call earlier should

the need arise, Bride and Groom will be notified in this case.

-The State of New Hampshire and its Liquor Commission regulate the sale and service of alcoholic

beverages. The Castle in the Clouds is responsible for the administration of these laws. Therefore, we do not allow food or beverages to be brought in or taken away from the premises. This is for your safety and

the well-being of all of our guests.

-A hired, professional security guard will be onsite for all weddings to ensure safety between all guests as

well as staff. Castle in the Clouds reserves the right to take all actions necessary if a situation is to arise.

-Security cameras are in place throughout the building for added safety & security for all guests and staff.

Important Details...

Lucknow Estate...

Castle in the Clouds does not allow the throwing of rice, confetti, or rose petals inside any of the buildings.

Natural flower petals and wedding bubbles may be used outside on the Lucknow garden lawn

during the wedding ceremony.

There is no smoking, food, or beverages permitted on the Lucknow garden lawn.

A designated smoking area is available outside the front of the Carriage House.

There are no restrooms located at Lucknow. It is recommended that guests use the restrooms

located in the Carriage House before the start of the ceremony.

Wedding guests are not permitted into the interior of the Lucknow Estate. The event department

leases the Castle Lawn from the Lucknow Estate (mansion).

Vintage trolleys will be available to transport guests to the Carriage House Terrace.

The Carriage House Terrace…...

The terrace is available to host cocktail hour (see packages) Two bartenders will be stationed at the bar during cocktail hour if guest amount is over 100

Couples are encouraged to decorate the outdoor tables and highboy tables (tall 24” round bar tables, 5 total)

Outlets are located on the terrace for bands and entertainment Optional tent rental for this space is available, but MUST be ordered no less than 1 month prior

to wedding date and the price will be added to package payments.

The terrace Art Gallery is available to wedding quests to peruse world class exhibits. The Fireplace area and mantle is available to decorate with family photos, flowers, candles, etc.

however castle staff is not responsible for any missing items as the main lobby is open to the public before weddings. Wedding staff will decorate this space for you.

Outside areas are limited to ceremony and/or cocktail hours only. The terrace will remain open

throughout the evening. Lucknow (castle mansion) is limited to 2 hours – guest arrival, ceremony and wedding family pictures.

The Winnipesaukee Room...

The Winnipesaukee Room is available for the reception, designed with exceptional views, exposed beams, and wrought iron railings and banisters. Can hold up to 200 people maximum

Two bartenders will be stationed at the bar if guest amount is over 100 Coffee and tea station will be available complimentary for guests DJ’s and live bands are permitted to perform Hardwood floor dance floor built into floor (10’ 3” X 19’ 8”, est. 200 sq footage)

Bar area has a great alcove for photo booths and benches for decorating with pillows.

Our standard ivory table linens and napkins will be provided complimentary. Specialty linens may be rented through a linen company. We can put you in touch with our

preferred vendor for this.

In Case of Rain:

Tent rental: a tent may be rented outside on the terrace of the Carriage House. This requires a deposit in advance up to 1 month before the wedding date.

Umbrellas: clear umbrellas will be handed out to wedding guests prior to being seated at the ceremony site. Event staff will wipe down all guest seats prior to the ceremony and guests will be handed towels as needed. This is the option chosen by 95% of our Brides and Grooms as you still get married in front of the spectacular view of Lake Winni!

Sunroom at the Castle: You have the option to use the sunroom to host the ceremony and your guests in the event that it rains. The sunroom can hold up to 110 people, and is standing room only.

Food and Beverage Services:

Castle in the Clouds must provide all catering through our preferred caterers, with the exception of the wedding cake.

All beverage items will be provided by Castle in the Clouds.

Cake cutting service will be provided

Castle in the Clouds reserves the right to refuse the service of alcohol to anyone without proper identification.

Couples are in Charge of contacting and working with caterers to plan menu options

Please be sure to add 9% New Hampshire state tax, a 5% service charge and a 15% service gratuity to any food items you are considering.

Decorating Details:

Wedding coordinator will contact the Bride/Groom the Monday prior to their wedding date to schedule when they can come in to decorate

If the wedding is being hosted on a Saturday night, Brides/Grooms are prompted to come in that Friday between the hours of 11am-4pm if no other event is taking place on that date.

If the wedding is being held on a Friday, Brides/Grooms are prompted to come in Thursday between 11am-4pm, if no other event is taking place

If another event is being hosted the day before the wedding date, Brides/Grooms are not allowed to come late to decorate.

In the case of a Friday event, Brides/Grooms with Saturday weddings are asked to come in the morning of their wedding day to decorate starting at 10am

Castle in the Clouds does not allow for decorating past 4pm

Staff must be on the property during the decorating process

Brides/Grooms are welcome to bring their own supplies such as tape and scissors etc.

Things can be hung on the light fixtures, but nothing too heavy. Wedding coordinator will decided what is too unsafe to hang

We do not allow hooks, tape, tacks or glue that will damage the walls of our venue

Rental items:

Rehearsal Details

Wedding coordinator will contact the bride the Monday prior to their wedding date to schedule a Rehearsal date

Rehearsals cannot occur the day of the wedding event

Rehearsals will last no longer than one hour

Rehearsals will be scheduled the day before the wedding date between the hours of 11am and 4pm

Rehearsals can also be scheduled on Fridays between 3-5pm, ONLY if no other events are occurring on that date during that time

Insurance Details

As stated in the contract, the Bride and Groom must present a Certificate of Liability Insurance for the Event at least 30 days prior to the event

We ask Brides and Grooms attain this insurance in case someone gets injured on site the day of the event. It will protect both the couple and the Castle.

Brides and Grooms may get this special Event or Wedding insurance through their home owners insurance.

The most popular insurance companies we see being used for this type of insurance are Wedsafe, Liberty, Avery, and State Farm

Many other insurance companies offer specialty wedding insurance policies

The Castle has its own liquor license, in this case any alcohol is not an issue when it comes to attaining the insurance

Deposits/ Payments:

All deposits are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Initial Deposit: 1/3 (one-third) of the total package price will be required at the time of securing the arrangements.

Second Payment: 1/3 (one-third) of the total package price will be required 3 months after initial deposit.

Final Payment: 1/3 (one-third) of the total package price will be required one month before the wedding date.

Invitations:

To ensure that all guests arrive to your ceremony before it starts, please request all guests arrive by 4:30 for ceremony seating in the Lucknow Gardens.

Please also advise guests to use our service road entrance, and not the main gate of Castle in the Clouds. They will be using our service road called Ossipee Park Road. Using a GPS, the address will be 586 Ossipee Park Road, Moultonborough, NH 03254. Go through gate and follow signs to parking lot. Walk to the Carriage House where the trolleys will take guests up to the Castle.

1 Tents are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. All reservations are subject to current availability. A

50%, non-refundable deposit is required to reserve the tent and is due in full at the time of reservation. Any

reservation made within 30 days will be strictly subject to availability of both inventory and labor and may be

subject to additional costs and fees. The final decision whether the tent is needed or not must be made by

12:00 pm on the Monday before the event. After this time the order will be considered confirmed and the full

rental amount will be due. 2

Add-on items are also available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Add-on options do not have to be ordered

at the time of the tent reservation; however, we strongly recommend reserving as early as possible to ensure

the best chance of availability. Add-on options are subject to a 50% cancellation fee within 30 days of the

event.
