Outgoing National Security Advisor M K Narayanan confirmed thatcyber attacks on the computers in the Prime Minister's Office, were launched from China. He,however, admitted that it would be very difficult to find the exact source. M K Narayanan has been appointed as the Governor of West Bengal and he will soon berelieved from his current responsibilities. The attacks were targeted at all computers in the PMOincluding Narayanan's own system. The attacks were reportedly launched on December 15, the same day when several Americancompanies, including Google faced cyber attacks from China. This is not the first time the Chinese hackers have targeted the government systems. Even theMinistry of External Affairs (MEA) was also attacked last year.
