All trips are open to Anne Arundel County Senior Activity Center Members. Key tags must be shown when registering for a trip.

The Trip Leader and the Bus Driver are in charge during all trips, and their directions are to be followed by all travelers. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action including removal from the bus, and exclusion from future trips.

Participants must be self-sufficient to go on trips. The Center Direc-tor may require a physicians’ certification to approve travel.

Anyone who exhibits inappropriate behavior must be approved by the Center Director before traveling.

Registration will commence upon receipt of the required deposit. Checks are preferred.

All monies are non-refundable unless a replacement can be found from the waiting list.

Participants must furnish their own transportation to and from meeting points.

Seating on the bus is “first-come, first served.” Those with mobility needs may request priority seating when making their reservations. Your seat will remain the same for the duration of the trip.

Absolutely no smoking or alcoholic beverages on the buses.

Trip participants will sign a Release of Liability form complete with their cell phone number before the trip departs.

BUSES WILL NOT WAIT FOR ANYONE. Participants must adhere to scheduled arrival and departure times. Should you become disconnected from the group while on a trip, call your Trip Leader at the phone number given at the beginning of the trip.

Participants should: (1) avoid contaminating others on trip day by staying at home when suffering from communicable illnesses (e.g., flu, colds, etc.); (2) avoid causing allergic or other adverse reactions by not using strong or excessive fragrances; (3) be flexible, and; (4) under special circumstances, be prepared to accommodate room/and seatmates as assigned.

Seats will be reserved upon receipt of the initial deposit. INITIAL DEPOSITS MUST BE MADE IN PERSON. Bring your key tag with you when signing up for trips.

PAYMENTS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED DURING OFFICE HOURS UNLESS SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS ARE MADE IN ADVANCE.

All trip participants, including companions for passengers needing assistance, must have a completed center membership form prior to the trip.

If any special accommodations are needed, such as special seat assignments on the bus, or dietary restrictions, IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE TRAVELER TO INFORM THE COMMITTEE AT TIME OF PAYMENT.

It is NOT the responsibility of the Bus Trip and Tour Committee to notify you of final payment due dates. PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDAR!

Payments may be made by cash, check or money order. Credit cards are not accepted.

Checks should be made payable to: Trip Committee.

Please bring name and phone number of two emergency contacts (of someone not going on the trip with you) at the time of payment.

ONCE A DEPOSIT HAS BEEN MADE, payments may be mailed to the senior center: Attention Trip Committee.

All trips include gratuity for drivers, wait staff, etc.

If a final payment is not received by the due date, THE CENTER TRIP COMMITTEE HAS THE AUTHORITY TO CANCEL YOUR RESERVATION.

Contact the Trip Committee if you are unable to make a payment by the due date.

ALL MONIES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE UNLESS A REPLACEMENT IS FOUND FROM THE WAITING LIST. The Senior Activity Center must pay the bus company in advance for all aspects of the trip.

Refunds will take place after a replacement is found and after a trip is completed.

Trips may be cancelled for lack of sufficient interest and/or by the bus company. Refunds will be made promptly.

Trip insurance is not provided, but is highly recommended for travelers.

Transfers to other trips may be offered by Trip Chairperson.

PLEASE ARRIVE AT LEAST THIRTY MINUTES BEFORE DEPARTURE TIME TO CHECK-IN.

It is your responsibility to be on time for the scheduled depar-tures. THE BUS WILL NOT WAIT FOR ANYONE.

Unless otherwise noted, departures and arrivals will be from the Anne Arundel Community College LOT ‘H’, located off West Campus Drive behind the YMCA.

Maps for parking at AACC are available at the senior center.

Return times may change depending upon traffic. Please bring water and a snack for the return trip.

When a trip is full, a waiting list will be formed.

Please add your name, phone number, and key tag number to the waiting list. The waiting list is formed on a first-come, first-served basis. When there is a cancellation, names on the waiting list will be called to try to fill that space.

Persons on the waiting list do not pay unless they are called. When they are called to be notified of an available seat for them, then they must pay in full, by coming in person to the Trip Office.

Thursday, November 12, 2020 Right away you know you’re someplace special when you step through the doors of the historic Red Brick Bakery & Tea Room in Red Lion, PA. This cozy tearoom has an atmosphere that is both elegant and relaxed. Our Holiday tea luncheon menu will consist of 2 types of tea, scone with clotted cream and jam, seasonal salad or soup, three tea sandwiches, a side dish and dessert. Following our tea luncheon, we drive across town to the Red Lion B&B for Grandma’s Holiday Craft Show. Come browse and shop while viewing approximately 140 crafters and artisans with thousands of unique items for sale. For just 20 days out of the year the Red Lion Bed & B is converted into a shopping heaven filled to the brim with Santa’s sleigh bells, paintings and pottery, woodworking and wreaths, festive holiday displays, the smell of holiday potpourri, fresh baked cookies from the Red Brick Bakery and apple cider from Brown’s Orchards. Travel to Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania and spend an afternoon at one of the premier botanical gardens in the United States. Enjoy acres of lush gardens, woodlands, and meadows in the Brandywine Creek Valley. The Spring Blooms event celebrates the spectacular symphony of color of unique to spring and featuring burgeoning gardens of daffodils, tulips, magnolias, azaleas, flowering cherries and more than 240,000 flowering bulbs. Indoors – lilies, delphiniums, hydrangeas and other spring blossoms fill the conservatory with color. A delicious lunch is included today in The Terrace Café at your leisure using your $20.00 gift card. Choose from an ever-changing selection of fresh local salads, soups, sandwiches, hot entrees, assorted breads and butter, pastries, dessert and a beverage, included. (L)

ALL MONIES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE UNLESS A REPLACEMENT IS FOUND FROM THE WAITING LIST. The Senior Activity Center must pay the bus company in advance for all aspects of the trip.

Refunds will take place after a replacement is found and after a trip is completed.

Trips may be cancelled for lack of sufficient interest and/or by the bus company. Refunds will be made promptly.

Trip insurance is not provided, but is highly recommended for travelers.

Transfers to other trips may be offered by Trip Chairperson.

PLEASE ARRIVE AT LEAST THIRTY MINUTES BEFORE DEPARTURE TIME TO CHECK-IN.

It is your responsibility to be on time for the scheduled depar-tures. THE BUS WILL NOT WAIT FOR ANYONE.

Unless otherwise noted, departures and arrivals will be from the Anne Arundel Community College LOT ‘H’, located off West Campus Drive behind the YMCA.

Maps for parking at AACC are available at the senior center.

Return times may change depending upon traffic. Please bring water and a snack for the return trip.

When a trip is full, a waiting list will be formed.

Please add your name, phone number, and key tag number to the waiting list. The waiting list is formed on a first-come, first-served basis. When there is a cancellation, names on the waiting list will be called to try to fill that space.

Persons on the waiting list do not pay unless they are called. When they are called to be notified of an available seat for them, then they must pay in full, by coming in person to the Trip Office.

Visit Port of the Mississippi Delta, Vicksburg, MS, Natchez, MS, Baton Rouge, LA, St. Francisville, LA, Nottoway Plantation, LA & New Orleans, LA. Enjoy daily excursions, including a walking tour of Beale St., centuries old oak trees, elegant mansions, fantastic rock’n roll, blues, jazz, & zydeco music, Cajun, Creole, & Southern culinary delights, Broadway caliber evening entertainment on-board, side trips in port via hop-on/off motor coach, and tours of Memphis & New Orleans! The trip can be extended on either end.

October 12-18, 2020 Visit Reykjavik, Northern Lights Cruise, Golden Circle, Thingvellir & Skaftafell National Parks, Waterfalls, Lava, Glaciers, Lagoons, & more. This trip is designed for the moderately active, adventurous traveler. Weather conditions can be unpredictable, and side trips to see the Northern Lights run between 2-5 hours and depart between 9 and 10 PM. The average daytime temperature in Vik in October is 41 degrees. There is an average of 2 hours of bright sunlight during the 10 hours of daylight. The trip can be extended on either end.

Thursday, November 12, 2020 Right away you know you’re someplace special when you step through the doors of the historic Red Brick Bakery & Tea Room in Red Lion, PA. This cozy tearoom has an atmosphere that is both elegant and relaxed. Our Holiday tea luncheon menu will consist of 2 types of tea, scone with clotted cream and jam, seasonal salad or soup, three tea sandwiches, a side dish and dessert. Following our tea luncheon, we drive across town to the Red Lion B&B for Grandma’s Holiday Craft Show. Come browse and shop while viewing approximately 140 crafters and artisans with thousands of unique items for sale. For just 20 days out of the year the Red Lion Bed & B is converted into a shopping heaven filled to the brim with Santa’s sleigh bells, paintings and pottery, woodworking and wreaths, festive holiday displays, the smell of holiday potpourri, fresh baked cookies from the Red Brick Bakery and apple cider from Brown’s Orchards. Later, on our way home, we treat you to a stop at Brown’s Farm Market, nestled among the rolling hills and valleys of Southern York County where you will find a wide variety of locally grown fruits and vegetables, cider, wines, PA Dutch foods, fresh baked breads, meats, soups, and salads made fresh daily. Holiday Tea at Red Brick Tea Room &Grandma’s Holiday Craft Show

All trips are open to Anne Arundel County Senior Activity Center Members. Key tags must be shown when registering for a trip.

The Trip Leader and the Bus Driver are in charge during all trips, and their directions are to be followed by all travelers. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action including removal from the bus, and exclusion from future trips.

Participants must be self-sufficient to go on trips. The Center Direc-tor may require a physicians’ certification to approve travel.

Anyone who exhibits inappropriate behavior must be approved by the Center Director before traveling.

Registration will commence upon receipt of the required deposit. Checks are preferred.

All monies are non-refundable unless a replacement can be found from the waiting list.

Participants must furnish their own transportation to and from meeting points.

Seating on the bus is “first-come, first served.” Those with mobility needs may request priority seating when making their reservations. Your seat will remain the same for the duration of the trip.

Absolutely no smoking or alcoholic beverages on the buses.

Trip participants will sign a Release of Liability form complete with their cell phone number before the trip departs.

BUSES WILL NOT WAIT FOR ANYONE. Participants must adhere to scheduled arrival and departure times. Should you become disconnected from the group while on a trip, call your Trip Leader at the phone number given at the beginning of the trip.

Participants should: (1) avoid contaminating others on trip day by staying at home when suffering from communicable illnesses (e.g., flu, colds, etc.); (2) avoid causing allergic or other adverse reactions by not using strong or excessive fragrances; (3) be flexible, and; (4) under special circumstances, be prepared to accommodate room/and seatmates as assigned.

Vesuvius; the Mt. Etna Volcano National Park; UNESCO Valley of the Temples in Agrigento; see cave dwellings at Sassi di Matera; indulge during a winery dinner & sample limoncello; see the Greek theater in Taormina; and savor time on the Amalfi Coast, and in the seaside resort town of Sorrento. The tour concludes in Rome and a flight to Dulles. The trip can be extended on either end.

Visit a different Christmas Market town every day while staying in Innsbruck for the first 5 nights! Traditional crafts & ornaments, Christmas Markets & a horse drawn carriage ride; mulled wine & bratwurst, Strudel making & sweets; visits to Innsbruck, Seefeld, Salzburg, Oberammergau, & Munich. Your last day in Munich includes a sightseeing tour ending at the famous Hofbraühaus to sip a mug of beer & enjoy a bretzel. This trip includes considerable walking along uneven pavement. The trip can be extended on either end.

OFFICE HOURS ARE MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 10:00 A.M. TO 12:00 P.M. These days and hours are subject to change and any changes will be posted on the Center’s website and newsletter.

Seats will be reserved upon receipt of the initial deposit. INITIAL DEPOSITS MUST BE MADE IN PERSON. Bring your key tag with you when signing up for trips.

PAYMENTS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED DURING OFFICE HOURS UNLESS SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS ARE MADE IN ADVANCE.

All trip participants, including companions for passengers needing assistance, must have a completed center membership form prior to the trip.

If any special accommodations are needed, such as special seat assignments on the bus, or dietary restrictions, IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE TRAVELER TO INFORM THE COMMITTEE AT TIME OF PAYMENT.

It is NOT the responsibility of the Bus Trip and Tour Committee to notify you of final payment due dates. PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDAR!

Payments may be made by cash, check or money order. Credit cards are not accepted.

Checks should be made payable to: Trip Committee.

Please bring name and phone number of two emergency contacts (of someone not going on the trip with you) at the time of payment.

ONCE A DEPOSIT HAS BEEN MADE, payments may be mailed to the senior center: Attention Trip Committee.

All trips include gratuity for drivers, wait staff, etc.

If a final payment is not received by the due date, THE CENTER TRIP COMMITTEE HAS THE AUTHORITY TO CANCEL YOUR RESERVATION.

Contact the Trip Committee if you are unable to make a payment by the due date.
