Cleaning Your Mirror
You should clean your mirror system using methods and chemicals that you use to clean the exterior of your vehicle. Harsh chemicals may damage the finish of the mirror arm, mirror head, or glass surface.
To clean the mirror assembly, use mild soap and water such as car wash soap, or a glass cleaner such as Windex, and a soft cloth. These cleaners can be used on all parts of the mirror assembly including the mirror glass, mirror arm and chrome components.
Do not use harsh chemicals to clean any part of the mirror assembly, as they may damage the finish.
Warning! Be careful not to scratch the glass! The reflective surface of the mirror glass is durable, but can be scratched by harsh or abrasive cleaners. It can also be scratched by razor blades or other tools.
DAMAGE CAUSED BY THE USE OF HARSH OR ABRASIVE CHEMICALS, AS WELL AS SHARP OBJECTS ON THE
EXTERIOR COMPONENTS OF YOUR MIRROR WILL NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.

Mirror Glass Replacement No tools are required to remove the mirror glass.
The main mirror and wide-angle mirror have a patented locking mechanism that makes glass replacement quick and easy. Warning: You should wear leather gloves or other heavy gloves to prevent being cut by broken glass!
To remove the mirror glass unit (same process to remove the Main mirror or Wide Angle, as shown):
1. Rotate the glass unit in the direction shown in Step 1 so that the right side of the glass unit sticks out of the mirror housing.
2. Slide the glass unit to the right as shown in Step 2. Applying pressure to the front of the glass with the palm of your hand may help. CAUTION: Make sure you wear gloves! The mirror unit will slide approximately ½ inch to the right. The glass unit can be removed by sliding it only in the direction shown and will not disengage in any other direction.
3. Pull glass unit out of the mirror head by pulling it perpendicular to the face of the glass in the direction shown in Step 3.
4. Unplug heater terminals (if equipped). Unplug turn signal terminals, if the wide angle mirror is equipped.

To install the glass unit, reverse the process described in the previous section. Make sure to connect heater and turn signal wires first.
Note: either heater wire can be plugged in to either heater terminal.
To install the glass unit, follow these steps:
Step 2:
Slide glass unit relative to the pack as indicated by
the arrow.
Step 1: Position the glass unit onto the motor pack or manual
adjustment pack as shown. Make sure that the tabs on the
pack go between the tabs on the glass unit.

Back Cover Replacement First, remove the glass units from the mirror head, as shown in the mirror glass removal section.
To remove the back cover, use a screwdriver or other tool to disengage the six clips that secure the back cover. Insert the tip of the screwdriver as shown below and then disengage the clip by moving the screwdriver in the direction indicated by the arrow. It may be necessary to pull the back cover away from the bezel as the clips are disengaged so that the back cover does not snap back into place. Note that the motor pack has been omitted from the image below.
To re-install the back cover, snap the back cover onto the bezel. The clips should automatically lock. To ensure a secure fit, apply pressure to each clip through the holes in the bezel in the direction indicated by the arrow. See clip installation below
Insert clip into bezel as shown below. Make sure that black clip lip is on inside of chrome bezel lip

Motor Pack Replacement To replace the motor pack or the manual mirror adjustment pack:
1. Remove the mirror glass units as shown in the Mirror Glass Replacement Section.
2. Remove the back cover as shown in the Back Cover Replacement section.
3. Mark the orientation of the flat side of the motor pack by noting the position of the flat edge of the pack. If the motor pack is not replaced in the proper orientation, the remote control feature will not work properly.
4. For each motor pack or adjustment pack, there are four screws that fasten it to the metal structure plate. The screws heads are accessed from the back side of the structure plate. Remove the screws using a T25 Torx bit.

Camera Lens Care
Warning: Never apply high pressure power wash directly to the cameras or housing mounted in your mirrors.
1) Use an optical lens cleaning pad and/or solution and gently clean the outside lens surface (similar to
treating any camera lens)
2) Never unscrew or twist the lens cap to attempt to clean the inside of the lens.
3) Never attempt to adjust the focal length of the camera as it is preset for proper focal adjustment
and is sealed with “lock-tight” securing the lens in place. If the lens cap is “turned” and the seal is
compromised the internal camera housing is susceptible to moisture and the lens may "fog up"
resulting in possible electrical failure.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES WILL RESULT IN VOIDING THE CAMERA MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY.
