Teaching PhilosophyWhen thinking of

my classroom I hope thatmy students can enjoy afun filled atmosphere andalways feel safe andconfident in my classroom.I hope to be an inspiringteacher and to keepchildren engaged in

education and alwayswilling to learn. Rewardsand consequences will alsobe present in myclassroom.

Something I believeis very vital in theclassroom is a studentfeeling safe and secure in

his or her own classroom. If a child doesn’t feelsecure in his or her ownclassroom it makeslearning difficult. One wayto ensure that all studentswill feel confident is tomake sure that every childknows that no question isa dumb question. All

questions are alwayswelcomed in our class!!

Classroom Communi

ty

Community in the classroom is vital tohave successful and fun year! Here are acouple of ways we build classroomcommunity in 4H!

- Ice breaker activities and teambuilding exercises in the first fewweeks of class

- Daily class meetings

- Forming a class Bill of Rights for4H with everyone’s input

- Having our desks in pods for groupwork and changing the pods everyquarter

Class & Individual Consequences

- Each time I have to remind theclass, after one warning, to bequiet or to work on their assignment, they will receive an R,if the class continues to act up,

they will receive and E, and thengoes all the way until they spellRECESS. If RECESS is spelled, the entire call will lose their afternoon recess.

- If an individual is acting out on their own they will receive one warning, for the second consecutive warningthey will lose 5 minutes of recess.
