“God makes every Grace abundant” 2019 Bishop’s Annual Appeal
This week marks our 6th week of the Bishop’s Annual Appeal. Our parish goal is $125,798.00. We have collected $60,325.00 and we are almost half way there. The Diocese has been so good to our parish! In the past five years, the Diocese gave our parish a loan for $339,000 and another gift of $234,000.00 to help keep Saint Francis afloat. In April of 2018 the Bishop forgave those loans in order to give St. Francis de Sales a fresh start. We are very grateful for this gift. Let us show our gratitude by meeting our parish goal of $125,798.00. Now is our time to help other parishes, ministries and outreach programs throughout our diocese by making a pledge in support of the Bishop’s Annual Appeal.
THE POPE’S PRAYER INTENTIONS FOR JULYUniversal: That those who administer justice may
work with integrity, and that the injustice which prevails in the world may not have the last word.

Bethesda Healing Ministry-Post Abortion Healing: Summer is here. We slow down our pace a bit to reflect on the mystery of Jesus and his wondrous gifts. If you have experienced abortion in your life and that memory is keeping you from enjoying the fruits of summer, perhaps
it is time to open your spirit to the peace only Jesus can give you. We are a group of mothers and fathers who have suffered the experience of abortion. We gather twice a month to share, heal and grow. “We’ve been there. We understand. We invite you to join us.” Bethesda Healing Ministry confidential phone lines at 614-309-2651 or 614-309-0157, or visit our website at www.bethesdahealing.org.
The ROSARY …and God Bless America!…
Written by Dan Fandrey – Reprinted from the St. Francis de Sales bulletin, June 29, 2014
As holidays go, it just doesn’t get much better than the Fourth of July. The weather is good and you don’t have to be bundled up – everybody seems to have a smile on their face. There’s a lot going on…parades, family gatherings, cook outs, vacations, swimming, fireworks, plus a really long weekend!Life is good as the saying goes. Amidst all of the activities on the Fourth, reflect on the one line from the Declaration of Independence that we all know…”All men are created equal, they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Thank you, Father in Heaven for the United States of America. Yes, times are very troubling but reflect on the words of Thomas Jefferson that are so appropriate for the period we live in: “All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.” So, as is often said in this column, know who you are. Stand up and be counted. Next Saturday’s rosary will be dedicated to praying for our country. May God always bless America…happy Fourth!
Remember, you and your family are always invited to join in our weekly Rosary for Peace, every Saturday at 4:35 p.m., just before Mass.
