Creating Notas Fiscais with Data Upload from MS Excel Use To make the manual creation of notas fiscais with many line items easier, for example, for notas fiscais for imports, you can upload data in a special view of the Nota Fiscal Writer from an MS Excel file. Note that this function can only be used to create notas fiscais with entrada as the nota fiscal type. Prerequisites NOTE that these settings only appear in the IMG structure in your system if you have applied the corresponding Support Package. For information about implementation by correction instruction, see (3)_Customizing.PDF attached to this SAP Note. You have made the necessary Customizing settings in Customizing for Cross-Application Components under General Application Functions Nota fiscal NF Document Maintenance Define MS Excel Layouts for Data Upload. For more information about these Customizing settings, see the system documentation in the IMG structure. Procedure ...

    1. Run the J1B1N_IMP transaction. 2. On the initial screen, enter the nota fiscal type, the organizational data, and ICMS/IPI information.

    3. In the MS Excel Upload group box, browse to the location of the MS Excel file on your hard drive.

    4. Select the layout for this MS Excel file. Note that you can only select from layouts that have been recorded in your Customizing.

    5. Enter the rows in the file where the import data to be uploaded (not any column header data!) starts and ends.

    6. Choose the (Enter) pushbutton.

The system uploads the data from the MS Excel file and fills the fields on the following screens that have been mapped to the columns in this MS Excel layout in Customizing. On the Import Data tab page, the system lists the document IDs for the import documents, if available.

    7. Enter all other relevant data.

    8. Save your entries.

Result The system automatically creates a print request for the nota fiscal according to the rules defined for the nota fiscal form. You can then print the nota fiscal if needed. 2011 by SAP AG.
