Presenter must repeat all questions, as they are asked, prior to giving an answer.
Types of Presentations
Demonstrations (Show how to…)Illustrated Talk: tells a story or informsRecitation: Memorization of a pre-written pieceDramatic Interpretation: re-Enactment of material from plays, movies, or monologuesSpeech: Formal, designed to motivate &informInpromptu (13+): presentation that is prepared immediately before giving the presentation
How should I look?
You should be:Dressed neatly, appropriately and nicely.
Wardrobe choices should be 4-H AppropriateTry to avoid logos and graphics
CleanHair and clothing should not be a distraction
Hair needs to be pulled back appropriately for food presentations.
**note that dressing nicely helps one to feel confident about presenting**
Why should I give a presentation?
Presenting is an important skill. This is something that you will use for the rest of your life. Employers, colleges and organizations value these skills. It is fun.
