Be the first to know when someone creates a JustGiving page or makes a donation to your cause.

That way you can easily thank them and turn them in to lifelong supporters.

This short presentation will show you how to:

Here’s how you can receive alerts.



Meet your alerts

There’s a few for you to choose from depending on your role within your organisation:

• Fundraising page creation alertReceive a daily summary of JustGiving pages created.

• Expiring fundraising page alertGet a weekly summary of JustGiving pages that are about to expire.

• New payment report reminderBe notified when your latest payment report is ready to download (for payments of donations made in GBP only).

• Direct Debit alertFind out when someone sets up a monthly donation (UK only).

• Monthly newsletter and updates Receive our latest fundraising tips and insights.


How to set up your alerts

• Log in and click on Branding & settings.

• Select Your email preferences.

• Tick the email alerts you’d like to receive and click Save.

How to update your email address

Remember to keep your contact details up to date to make sure you never miss out on an important alert.

• Log in and click on Branding & settings.

• Select Edit your details.

• Update your email address and click Save.

Get to know your supportersUse our simple reports to keep an eye on who has become a supporter of your cause. You can then add them to your engagement or supporter care programmes.

Let’s take a look at the reports you can access on JustGiving to get your supporter contact details.



Meet your reports

Your reports provide data and insights about the people supporting you on JustGiving.

To find out their contact details, and whether they have opted in to receive communications from your organisation, we recommend using your:

1. fundraiser quick search2. fundraising page report3. donation report.

The reports are available to download in Excel and Comma Separated Value (CSV) format, so you can easily sort the data to get the information you need. These file formats are also compatible with most databases.


How to get contact details for your fundraisers

If you’re in a hurry or looking for the contact details of a particular fundraiser, we recommend using our quick search tool.

• Log in to your account.

• Go to the Quick search box and select Fundraiser name.

• Enter the person’s name and click Search.

• Find the person you’re looking for. You’ll see their name, email, the web address of their JustGiving page, mailing list preference and whether their page is active or not.

You can use their email to contact them directly about their JustGiving page, but if you would like to send them marketing newsletters or add them to a supporter care programme, the word Yes must appear next to their mailing list preference.

How to get contact details for your fundraisers (cont.)

If you’re looking for the contact details of more than one fundraiser, we recommend using your fundraising page report.

• Log in to your account and click the Reports tab.

• Select Fundraising page reports.

• Select your date range, the type of fundraising pages you are looking for and the format you’d like to download your report in.

• Click Create report.

Click Download report. Look at column K for their email address and column M (titled ‘Fundraiser Further Contact’) for their mailing preferences. If there is a ‘yes’ in this column you can add them to your marketing communications.

How to get contact details for your donors

If you’re looking for the contact details of donors, we recommend using your donation report.

• Log in to your account and click the Reports tab.

• Select Donation reports.

• Select your date range and the format you’d like to download your report in.

• Click Create report.

Click Download report. Look at column Q for their email address and column R (titled ‘Donor Further Contact’) for their mailing preferences. If there is a ‘yes’ in this column you can add them to your marketing communications.
