Church-wide Outreach Visitation
Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. Come and make a church growth visit.
Share Jesus with someone and invite them to church.
From My Heart
In a monthly newsletter format by the time you get around to commenting on a major event at the first of the month, it seems so far away and almost forgotten. However, I don’t want that to be the case with our revival meeting. We expended too much energy, finances, and time for that to happen. While we must move forward, let me share with you some observations.
First, attendance was strong. You were faithful and you invited folks who are unconnected to a local church. We had some folks who came because they saw our signs. One couple said to me, “Our church doesn’t have revival meetings and we decided we would attend.”
The spirit of the church was sweet. As I have said, there is something dynamic when a church gets together in the presence of the Lord for an extended time. Something good happened to our fellowship during the week.
There was a rededication by a church member and we have three individuals who have attended every Sunday that were not attenders prior to the revival meeting. One of the goals of revival is to reach new people.
Our services were spirit-led in music and the preached Word. Chris did his usual good job of leading. Karl has commented to me the liberty he felt in preaching the Word of God. It is the same liberty I feel each and every Sunday, so I understood what he was talking about. You must have agreed with my assessment because as a church you gave a very gracious revival love offering.
We do not want revival to be an event, but we want revival to propel us into a different spiritual dimension. This goal will be a reality if we continue to pray and open ourselves up to the Spirit of God. Besides prayer, staying in the Word of God and being obedient to the Word of God will aid us in staying revived.
Glad to be your pastor,

A church library is a storehouse of materials that reinforces a church's message or aids people who want to dig deeper. Libraries have also become a place where individuals and families can find entertainment that uplifts spirits and enlightens minds instead of assaulting their values.
The Silver Springs Library offers a tremendous wealth of materials for all ages! And not only books – we have CDs and DVDs as well. We offer materials on spiritual growth, theology, Bible study, witnessing, prayer, biographies, and lots of fiction. Our movie sections are very popular, and our collection is always growing. Our library is open - spread the word!

INVITE YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS!
Come join us for Fuel Worship Service
(students 7th-12th grade) on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.
From the Garage, What an awesome year we are having. God is truly
working in the hearts of students. We have one new
student and a couple of new prospects. We have done a
lot of work to the youth room and should be finished in a
couple of weeks.
May is a busy month for our seniors; we have six
graduating this year. Grace Toomey, Katelyn Pratt,
and Eva Stevens from Wilson Central High School; Erin
Etheridge and Caroline Walker from Mount Juliet
Christian Academy; and Sarah Strickland from Lebanon
High School.
In July we have 21 people going to youth camp, this is
the largest number that have attended so far.
I want to thank the student leaders from the bottom of my
heart for their hard work and the love they have not only
for the students but for the love they have for Christ. I
have truly been blessed by these folks. Please continue
to pray for your student ministry and leaders.
Sympathy
Our sincere Christian sympathy is extended to Debbie Moss in the death of her aunt; and to Darlene Bates in the death of her sister.
