Dreamboogie (BAND) VICDreamboogie re-imagine and re-interpret the songs of those great trailblazing Blues performers for today’s audience, using contemporary sounds and fresh arrangements, whilst retaining the essential spirit and attitude of the music. In the 8 years that they have been performing together, the 4 piece made a significant impact on the Australian Blues scene - touring nationally and performing regular shows at venues and festivals. Old Blues with new ‘tude. Twice winners of the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society (MBAS) Blues Performer of the Year saw them represent at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis USA in the band division in 2012, and again as semi-finalists in 2016.

Electric Blues Collective (BAND) VICElectric Blues Collective punch out a heady mash of Chicago Blues with vibe and drive. Propelled by the restless spirits of Little Walter, Howling Wolf and Bo Diddley, they’re reinterpreting rather than re-hashing, creating original high vibe

dancing Blues music with passion. The set list is pure Blues power, made up of standards that have been electrified in the collective as well as originals that get people moving, grooving and yelling YEAH.

Jesse Valach (SOLO) VICJesse Valach is a fiery Melbourne based Blues/Soul infused, Reggae/Roots inspired, singer/songwriter and lead guitarist who has performed alongside some of Australia’s biggest names in blues music. In 2016 Jesse won the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society (MBAS) Blues Performer of the Year where he represented the MBAS at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, USA in January 2017. From local Blues jams to the international stage, Jesse is a proven musician who is on the rise.

Kelly Auty (BAND) VICKelly Auty is an energetic singing and songwriting dynamo. Renowned as a powerful vocalist and an inspiring performer, she delivers outstanding shows in her distinctive style. She is equally impressive across Blues, Gospel, R&B, Soul, Rock, Country and French Chanson genres. With over 40 years experience in the music industry, Kelly’s style can only be described as honest and heartfelt, earthy and inspiring.

Mark N’ The Blues (TRIO) NSWLet Mark N’ The Blues take you on a journey to the deep south where the Delta Blues was born, through the ages and styles from past to present. Frontman Mark Bishop incorporates instruments such as the Resonator guitar with slide, Cigar Box guitar and a stomp box to keep the beat.

MBAS Presents Youth in Blues (VARIOUS) VICYouth in Blues is an annual free program initiative of the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society to encourage the next generation of Blues musicians. The Youth in Blues Program aims to help budding young Blues musicians and vocalists gain confidence and experience

(including performing live in front of an audience) with the guidance and mentorship of established Blues musicians and music industry professionals. The Docklands Blues Festival performance showcases the talent of some of the young graduates from this year’s Youth in Blues Program.

Mike Elrington (SOLO) VICMike Elrington is a gifted singer songwriter with incredible guitar skills. Standing at almost two metres tall, delivering his signature, gut-wrenching vocals like an instrument all on its own, very few people forget a performance from this man. The commitment to his live shows and the well-earned reputation for leaving nothing behind but sweat has seen him invited to perform at some of Australia’s finest festivals, including the iconic Byron Bay BluesFest, Bendigo, Sydney Blues and Roots Festivals & Blues on Broadbeach to name but a few.

Nathan Beretta Band (BAND) VICNathan Beretta has made his mark in the Australian Blues scene with multiple award winning Blues band Blue Eyes Cry. Growing up with Blues, Jazz and Soul in the household, he has brought his own unique style to the table. After taking a year off music, Nathan is back on a mission to

put the “edge” back in into the Blues with vibrato-bending guitar solos and emotion. Not to be missed!
