Foreword
Wp 3 is focused on the set up of machines and tools required to create anintelligent interaction from rfid tag reader to black box back up withinnovative machinery covering the complete supply chain in harvestingoperations on steep terrains. The aim is to improve forestry workers safety, productivity together with terrain sustainability.

Foreword
Technical innovation required will be implemented in machines which willbe ready to function to perform real forestry operations on difficult areas.
![Page 5: 3rd Technical Meeting - WP3](https://reader031.fdocuments.us/reader031/viewer/2022011721/58a30b981a28abea508b6b73/html5/thumbnails/5.jpg)
Foreword
The critical part of the wp 3 is to be able to manage interaction amongdifferent machines and components keeping functionality also with relevantchanges carried out on the machines.
We do believe that we will be able to successfully manage the wp with themost suitable components able to collect and transmit perfect data alongthe supply chain
![Page 6: 3rd Technical Meeting - WP3](https://reader031.fdocuments.us/reader031/viewer/2022011721/58a30b981a28abea508b6b73/html5/thumbnails/6.jpg)
Mitigating action undertaken
New partner in the project for the processor head part.
Dow amendmentTask 3.2 changed with the purchase of a new processorhead and the analysis required
Start of wp 3 in month 6 affected by amendment andmitigating action as reported previously
Suitable components choice and their availability

Tecno carriage work status
The carriage is ready. We still need toimplement the interface pc with itssoftware, the modification on existingsoftware with laboratory test to verifyinteraction.
A mechanical part is being installed nowfor the antenna. It will be a movable partto be lifted upward and downward toprotect the component from the logsWe have planned testing activities withGraphitech and CNR at the end ofJanuary, beginning of February.

Synthetic rope launcher EASER status
The prototype is ready. We have carried out testing activities up to 500mt. We met difficulties due to the unwrapping of the textile rope. Wehave newly re-designed the system and currently we are working ontesting activities with a new component tailored to our needsThe new project will consider the launch of the rope without the needon unwrapping from the winches.

the “black box” solution is a portable storage (SSHD or similar)
the external storage will be connected with USB to the industrial PC hosted by the excavator
it is used for storing critical data (backup)
the dedicated GPRS module (USB) is installed in industrial PC and is used for communication with the central server in a case of the network coverage
the portable storage is transferred to the office / operator house and after connecting to internet, automatically synchronizing data with the database in a case of no network coverage in forest
