Reservation Information for the Race to the Feis:

A two-night minimum is required for all reservations. Reservations will not be accepted that do not meet the minimum night requirement.

One night’s rate plus tax is due at booking with the remaining balance due at check-in. If for any reason you must cancel, please do so 14 days prior to your date of arrival to receive a full

refund of your deposit. Reservations canceled less than 14 days from the day of arrival will be charged a cancellation fee equal to one night’s rate plus tax. No-shows and early departures will not receive any refund.

If making reservations by phone, guests must call the group phone (1-800-347-9092) number to receive the discounted rate. The office hours are Monday – Friday 9:00AM – 5:00PM EST and Saturday – Sunday 9:00 – 4:00PM EST.

You must be 21 or older to check-in. There is a refundable $150 deposit due at the time of check-in. Rates are exclusive of 6.5% sales tax and 6.0% occupancy tax.

Parking: Reservations include 1 parking space on property. For those who are attending the Feis but not staying at the resort, there is a municipal parking garage

across the street, with a covered walkway to bring you to the resort. The parking fee for The Race to the Feis event is $5 for every 12 hours. Your event pass is needed along with your parking ticket when leaving, and we will have the event passes available for pickup at the Feis.

FEIS RULES

1. AGE: Where there is an age limit for any competition, a competitor’s age shall be taken as that which he/she has reached on or before 1st January of the year in which a competition is held.

2. Age Groups up to and including Under 9 are prohibited from wearing Solo Costumes, as passed at Convention 2004.

3. Competitions for age groups up to and including Under 11, are not permitted after 6pm. 4. Children up to and including the age of 12 are prohibited from wearing face make–up. 5. All dancers are prohibited from wearing any form of glitter on their face. 6. All dancers who fall in a competition are eligible to return to complete their performance and be

remarked. (Effective January 2017). 7. Competitors are required to be appropriately attired at all times when attending a Feis and the

Committee has the right to ensure that the Rule is adhered to. 8. Any form of unauthorized photography which captures a dancers’ image whilst taking part in

competition is expressly forbidden. This covers photography by means of mobile phones, tablets, video camera, cine recorder or portable electronic devices, with or without flash facility.

9. Under Health and Safety, competitors are requested not to smoke whilst dressed in their dancing costume.

10. All competitors must wear their number positioned center front, clearly displayed for Adjudicators. 11. Competitions may be split by the Feis organizer based on entries. 12. To be eligible to compete in Championship competitors must have competed in at least one Open solo

competition excluding treble reel and both solos in Championship. 13. Length of dances to be performed:

a. Pre-Beginner – 16 bars; b. A & B – 32 bars for Reel, Light Jig, Single Jig, Slip Jig, Treble Jig and Hornpipe; c. C, Pre-Open and Open – 40 bars for Reel, Light Jig, Single Jig and Treble Jig, 32 bars for Slip

Jig and Hornpipe. d. Traditional Set consists of step on right and left, set on right only. e. Treble reel is 16 bars.

14. Following are the speeds that will be utilized for all levels: a. Pre-Beginner – Reel 122; b. A – Reel 122, Light Jig 116, Single Jig 128, Slip Jig 128, Treble Jig 90, Hornpipe 137; c. B – Reel 116, Light Jig 116, Single Jig 126, Slip Jig 116, Treble Jig 76, Hornpipe 116; d. C - Reel 113, Light Jig 116, Single Jig 126, Slip Jig 113, Treble Jig 73, Hornpipe 113; e. Pre-Open and Open - Reel 113, Slip Jig 113, Treble Jig 73, Hornpipe 113
