They are based on the 1937 novel The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien, with large portions of the trilogy inspired by the appendices to The Return of the King, which expand on the story told in The Hobbit, as well as new material and characters written especially for the films. Looking Ahead 2017 Ladies’ Tea: Saturday, April 29th. The Ladies’ Tea will be one of our biggest highlights for the women’s ministry. This event is FREE of charge to all ladies! Tables are beautifully decorated, and the day includes worship, fellowship and great food brought by all the ladies that attend. 2017 Men’s Retreat: May 19th thru May 21st: Camp Bighorn, Plains, Montana. The men’s retreat provides a great opportunity to get closer to the Lord and get to know the men in our church better through fellowship, fun and of course – FOOD! 2017 Women’s Retreat: June 2nd thru June 4th: Clearwater Lodge, Newport, Washington. Registration begins sometime in March or April 2017. Don’t miss the opportunity of a wonderful retreat, greater spiritual growth, and fellowship!
