It’s got millions of nerves. They receive information and send it to the brain.Touch allows us:

The sense of taste is located in our mouth. The main organ used for taste is the tongue.The tongue has lots of little taste buds.We use taste buds to distinguish the flavours of what we eat and drink.

We distinguish four different flavours: sweet, salty, sour and bitter.

The nerves send the information to the brain and the brain tells us if it is sweet, bitter, salty or sour.
