Documentary and accompanying soundtrack about members of Beogradski sindikat and Ultra runner Serbia movements’ members and their participation in

“300 of Sparta” adventure.

Time of �lming: from the beginning of 2015 till the race, from 25.4. to 5.5.2015.

Locations: Serbia (Kosutnjak, Fruska Gora, Bukulja…), Greece (from Termopiles to Sparta)

Estimated costs: 10.000 euros

The protagonists (from the oldest to the youngest):

Aleksandar Đaković (24.1.1972.) – father of two girls, stocks and crypto currencies broker, the activist of Ultra runner Serbia movement – he was a part of the team that helped

the best among UTS runners achieve historical success in 6 day long “Icarus Ultra Fest Florida” (where Jovica �nished second and broke Serbian state record with 683km, after setting

Serbian 24h race record just two months before that). Aca is also avid nature lover who he came a long way In just a year – from a sports fan to serious ultra runner.

Boško Ćirković Škabo (4.12.1976.), narrator - caring father and husband, the best friend of 3 dogs, activist od "Beogradski sindikat” and “Ultra runner Serbia” movements, poet, composer

and music producer (5 BS i 9 solo albums so far) , (at the moment EX) music journalist, column author and editor, Belgrade University’s Ecconomy college marketing graduate (dipl ecc)...

All that and some in an honest attempt of becoming Human, in spite the ways of today’s world. In just a year of training with UTS sisters and brothers he came from running a half marathon

to 90km in his �rst ultra.

Dalibor Daničić (20.6. 1987.) - graduated professor of physical education. As personal trainer he works with professional athletes but also helps non professionals determined to change th world aroud

them by changing themselves. As one of the top ultra marathon runners in Serbia and also successful participant in multiple swimming marathons, he started “Ultra runner Serbia” movement in order to

show the way to the pople willing to become heroes by running marathons and ultras. And he did so for more than 100 people in less than 2 years. He participated in the �rst Milano-San Remo

ultra race (283km), where he got excluded on 140km because of food poisoning. As a great adventurer and he dreams of “The Grand Slam” (running all 4 Great deserts’ races in 1 year,

something that less than 40 people in the world achieved so far).

The Concept:

This one hour long movie would primarily be made out of documentary footage that 2 professional cameramen and runners themselves would make during the challenge in Greece.

Runners would �lm their journey using GoPro cameras and the cameramen would, among

other equipment, also use aerial drone for recording beautiful Greek landscapes and historical sites. One sound professional would also be the part of the race �lming crew in Greece.

The second main ingredient of the �lm’s material would be the footage of peraparations, shot in the woods of Belgrade’s Kosutnjak, Mount Fruska Gora and Mount Bukulja.

And the �nal ingredient would be interviews with the main characters, shoot indoor and outdoor. Interviews would cover the topics of their education, professional achievements,

role that sports played in their lives, getting into running, their plans life and future adventures…

As a reference, one could use classics of the running �lms’ genre, such as: “Running the Sahara”, “Desert Runners”, “Ultramarathon Man”…

The point in all this documentaries is beyond running, even beyond sports, it is universally strong motivational one. And that is why this movie is titled “NO RETREAT, NO SURRENDER”, which was

king Leonidas’s warriors creed and is also the name of one of Beogradski sindikat’s hit songs.

And because of that, plus the fact that one of three protagonists is well known to be a member of BS, this movie is supposed to have very high quality motivational soundtrack. So far, some of the

well known rap and electro acts from Serbia have shown interest in contributing to the soundtrack ( THCF, Sick Touch, Šef Sale iz BS, Škabo, Toprek, Shazalakazoo …).

Universal recognition of the protagonists’ quest is underlined by unique historical contest that would be given in special brie�ngs before each race day. Greek Ministry of Tourism is one of the main partners and it’s experts are planned to provide information about all historical sites that

are going to be found on racers’ route. And that would naturally be the part of the �lm.

Material conditions for realization of the Concept:

For the participation of 3 runners in “300 of Sparta” race, it is necessary to pay 1400 euros per person, which leads to total of 4200 euros.

40% of these fees have to be payed as the reservations, by the end of January (because there is exactly 300 spots and the interest all over the globe is huge).

Remaining 60% have to be payed by 24.3.2015..

Crew/equipment:- 2 cameramen (for interviews and preparations in Serbia 1 would be enough,

but both are necessery in Greece) + their equipment- Sound recording professional + his equipment

- Sound editor + studio- Film director/editor + studio

- Mobile home vehicle for the transport of the whole crew (�lmmakers +runners) to Greece and thru the race.

And according to the calculations and talks with the crews of professional �lmmakers, runners’ fees and costs for employing 2 cameramen with all necessary equipmet,

soundman with all necessary equipment and mobile home for their transportation and work in Greece would all be covered with circa 10.000 euros.

Potential bene�ts for the sponsors of this project:

Potential sponsors can count on (previously agreed on, in terms of way(s) and frequency) their product(s)/logo(s) presence: in the documentary and/or music videos that wouldaccompany and promote the movie and the soundtrack, on the cover of soundtrack or

in the activities of the runners.

The movie is de�nitely going to be shown thru the network of over 40 local TV stations in Serbian, Bosnia and Montenegro. Belgrade’s Studio B station is most likely going to show it

and momentarily the project is a part of RTS’s independent production concurs.

It is also possible to organize movie projections, forums and concerts that would include the protagonists and/or some of the movie soundtrack’s stars.

The variants of brending of this project are noumerous.
