FENN-WU REPORT AND RAZAK REPORT

The Fenn-Wu ReportPromotion of a national school system by the gradual introduction of English into Malay vernacular school and Malay and English languages into Chinese and Tamil vernacular school Maintenance of existing English national type schools Religious education provided for pupils either within school premises or in suitable premises Maintenance of the vocational school to support the country development.

RAZAK REPORT 4 recommendations
1) The national and English languages in all primary and secondary schools to: orient pupils with Malayan outlook Inculcate national consciousness Foster mutual understanding among the citizens of various races and religions
2) Equal grants be provided to all schools irrespective of the medium of instruction and provision of similar training facilities to all teachers(ending discrimination of vernacular schools)
3) Higher edu for all ethnic groups by i) proposing an extension of English language instruction to all schools ii) provision of equal opportunities for promotion to secondary schools
4) Conversion of existing primary schools to national schools (Malay medium) and national-types schools (English, Chinese and Tamil medium) For religious instruction: It recommended that the use or Rumi with the provision for learning Jawi for Muslim pupils
