Overview
• Steps and process of modeling and texturing a 3D model
References
• Before starting any new model it is beneficial to have some type of reference
• References can be pictures of real objects or art work
• Help to get accurate scale and dimensions
• Can later be used as a basis for textures
Modeling
• My key objective was to keep a low poly count
• There are multiple approaches to low poly modeling
Texture Creation
• Unwrap your 3D modelo Unwrapping is segmenting your model and
flattening it onto a 2D plane• Use overlapping as much as possible to
keep texture size smaller
Final Texture
• 512x512• 1 Alpha Channel
Final Steps
• Attach all of your models to one mesh
• Make sure you have the final texture applied
• Export to game engine
Final Rendering
• 2400 polys
