As for demineralized water requirements during pre- commissioning and commissioning, COMPANY will arrange the purchase of distilled water by CONTRACTOR from Qurayyah Steam Power Plant. It is the responsibility of CONTRACTOR to build and commission the Demineralization Plant and all associated systems in time for the production storage and transfer of demineralized water. CONTRACTOR shall pay particular attention to this requirement as part of the project schedule. While COMPANY will facilitate availability of distilled water to the extent possible, CONTRACTOR shall note that the quantity of water available at any time will depend on the operating condition of the desalination plant at Qurayyah Steam Power Plant and internal requirements of the plant itself. Any delay to the project schedule on account of shortage of distilled water will therefore be CONTRACTOR's responsibility. Further, the distilled water (also called service water) transfer system installed by CONTRACTOR 8 has to cater to the requirement of the Qurayyah Open Cycle Power Plant. All of the above must be taken into consideration by the CONTRACTOR to build adequate inventory of distilled / demineralized water in time to meet project schedule. All water requirements must be pre-arranged and scheduled with COMPANY. Cost of distilled water shall be computed at the rate of Five Saudi Riyals (SR: 5.00) per cubic meter and this shall be reimbursed to the COMPANY." 4. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK 4.1 Base WORK: Conversion of Existing Open Cycle Gas Turbine (OCGT> Power Plant to Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT> Power Plant at Ourayyah CONTRACTOR shall design, engineer, procure, construct, test, commission and put into operation, for the Saudi Electricity Company, a complete Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Power Plant at Qurayyah, Saudi Arabia, inclusive of all support facilities by converting the existing Open Cycle Gas Turbine (OCGT) Power Plant to combined cycle power plant and providing water treatment systems, including MSF desalination plant, demineralization plant and chlorination plant complete in all respect, and all other support facilities. Also, CONTRACTOR shall, among the services specified in the Scope of Work and Technical Specifications, PTS No. 07EG90B, that it shall provide under this CONTRACT, provide training to COMPANY operations and maintenance personnel to ensure individual competence in the operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, administration and management of the CCGT Power Plant; provide supervision of plant operation and maintenance on 24X7 basis up to the issuance of the Preliminary Acceptance Certificate (PAC); provide all spare parts and consumables for commiSSioning period and up to the end of the warranty period; and provide special tools and test/maintenance equipment for the equipment supplied by CONTRACTOR under this CONTRACT. The detailed features of the CCGT Power Piant and the support facilties, the technical specifications, and the complete scope of the WORK that CONTRACTOR shall perform under this CONTRACT are set forth in the Scope of Work and 8-2 Conversion of Open Cycle Gas Turbines to Combined Cycle at Qurayyah Power Plant Schedule nS"

Commercial Comments and Clarifications - Compliance Statement: Bidder Comment The design and materials approved for use in the simple cycle shall be the same in the combined cycle, whenever such systems are extended under the combined cycle contract.
