Together At Thanksgiving · HOSTING THE FAMILY for Thanksgiving this year?
Consider sharing the film “Pope Francis: A Man of His Word” with them. You can view it on Netflix, Amazon, iTunes, YouTube, VUDU, Google Play, Fandango, and Microsoft. Hear the words of Pope Francis as he travels around the world calling all people to recognize the needs of the poor, the harm being done to creation, and our responsibility to share justly the resources of this world. Learn how Pope Francis lives his words daily.
Catholic School Myths · “It is not affordable.” If you truly want your child to attend
a Catholic school, cost may not be the obstacle that you think it is. St. Thomas the Apostle School offers scholar-ships and need-based financial aid. We work with families on an individual basis because if you want your child to attend St. Thomas, we want to make it affordable and we understand that affordability doesn’t look the same for eve-ry family. Cost should never be the thing that keeps your child from attending a Catholic school.
· “The students are too sheltered and are not exposed to the ‘real’ world.” Catholic schools encourage their stu-dents to confront the harsh realities of the world according to the tenets of Catholic social teaching. We are not shel-tering. We are preparing. What better way to prepare children for the inequities of the world than to teach them prayer, service, kindness, respect of self and others, love and acceptance? Our teachers, administration and staff will partner with you to instill the same values you’re teach-ing your child every day at home. At St. Thomas, we are family and we are invested accordingly.
· Would you like to learn more about what Catholic school would look like for your family? St. Thomas offers Pre-K through 8th Grade including a Full-Day 4-Year-Old Program. From our youngest students in PreK 3 to our 8th Grade students who are preparing for High School, it is always our goal to empower each and every student to achieve academic, creative and spiritual excel-lence in an environment which is rich in Catholic tradition. For more information or to schedule a tour, please contact Jennifer Murphy at (518) 439-5573 or [email protected].
Happy Thanksgiving! ~ Thank you to the many parishion-ers who provide support to St. Thomas the Apostle School throughout the year. We are appreciative of your prayers, par-ticipation at school events, and your financial support. We are thinking of you at Thanksgiving and we pray that God blesses you abundantly.

for preparation for the coming of the Christ Child and is a per-fect time to perform works of charity. No gift should cost more than $30; many are less costly. If you take a tag, please fill the request (many gifts are for specific people) and return the gift on or before December 8 at noon sharp. All gifts will be deliv-ered that afternoon. There will be hospitality in the School Gym after all the Masses that weekend, so that everyone can see the wonderful generosity of our whole Parish Community that the Giving Tree gifts represent.
