1. Regarding friendships as a human resource, how many friends do you have? How long have you had them? Do you think certain friendships will continue over the next five years? Which ones and why?

I consider myself an outgoing person and I have many friends. However, friends can be a subjective term. For this question, I will consider my closest friends. My closest friends have been friends with me for about 10 years, dating back to high school. We have been a group of friends and also a group of youth leaders at church. I think these friendships will last and continue over the next five years as they have become a valuable resource for me and each other.

2. What does the Foa & Foa Model illustrate?

The Foa & Foa Resource Model illustrates a framework for understanding social interactions and relationships. The model states why we form certain relationships and the benefits of each one. The resources at the top are more particularistic than the ones on the bottom. It also illustrates how we humans use each other as resources for different things depending on the person. This makes us more selective in our choosing of friends and allows us to group our friends based on our needs.
