Westgate Studios: QRA by Richard Gentle.
Westgate Studios Project Space presents QRA:First Contact as part ofthe Quantum Relationship Art series by Westgate Studios RichardGentle: an exhibition exploring ideas and emotions about life andrelationships using light.
Nicholas Clark will be presenting Eye Candy, an art-vending tower,
which dispenses artworks (for 1) in small round clear tubs.
The Art House: Twenty Drawings by Lois Palframan
A collection of delicately drawn small-scale artworks by Lois Palframan.These simple yet evocative drawings of rapid mind images are inspiredby dreams and visions of the night. Lois will be giving a presentation at
7pm and she'll also follow up her exhibition with a workshop at The ArtHouse on Saturday 24 April.
The resident artists will open their studios on this evening and there willalso be some visiting artists showing their work in studios 4 and 11.
Diva Arts Bazaar
DIVA invites everyone to come along and in true bazaar style rummage.
Take away a bargain ranging from truly sumptuous designer fabricsamples, amazing glass chandelier crystals, mosaic tiles, sequins and
beads! Who can resist?
Also for a total experience indulge in a glass of Apple tea andTurkish delight!
DIVA is a non-profit making arts Organization who actively promoterecycling, so please feel free to bring along and donate any unused art
and crafts items which we will pass onto other artists.
Wakefield Cathedral
There is no official Artwalk this time as it is Holy Week. However, at 7pmthere will be a special sung Eucharist led by Bishop Bill from the BBCseries 'An Island Parish' which anyone is welcome to attend. Beautifullysung choral music in a special sacred space.

Wakefield Museum: A Feast for the Eyes
Feast your eyes on a wonderful spread of paintings and prints from TheHepworth Wakefield's superb fine art collection, alongside photographsand objects from Wakefield's fascinating social history collections. If you
are into art, history or food, this should be your cup of tea.
This exhibition has a tempting mix of early 20th century paintings ofcafes, a 17th century still life, a portrait of the author of England's firstcurry recipe book, plus photographs of Jack Hulme's family preparingfood in the 1950s plus a sprinkling of foodie objects and much more...
On the March Art Walk Victoria Lucas will take inspiration from the theme
of food and drink and encourage visitors to use book binding techniquesto create a recipe book to take home. This is a free drop in session so
come along any time between 5 - 9 to have a go.
The Coach House Gritstone and Sky by Andy Hemingway
The Coach House will be presenting images of the Southern Penninesby Andy Hemingway.
Interval Caf an exhibition by members of Group 9
An exhibition of recent work by members of Group 9, a local art group.
The exhibition runs from Wed 31 March until Friday 21 May.
Beam Gallery - Architectural Review Awards - EmergingArchitecture 2009 and The Watchman series
The conference space showcases The Watchman series. This depictstransient territorial gatekeepers and the patrol of their environment. The
series reflects attachments and affinities that figures past and presenthave formed with locations that feature prominently in their working lives.
The main gallery hosts Beams latest exhibition: the annual ArchitectureReview awards Emerging Architecture 2009. They have on show someof the most amazingly exciting new buildings from around the world, froma school within a bridge in China to a giant ring-shaped sports center on
the Iberian peninsular in Spain.

Art of Oak
A large number of local artists are showcasing a wide variety ofwork, ranging from watercolours to mixed media to acrylics.
Harrys Bar
Artplace at Harry's Bar will be showing work by Keith Blackburn and SamBurton both of whom are inspired by similar subjects; the landscape of
their locality, cities and their inhabitants.
Keithsworkevidenceshiskeenobservationandafascinationwiththe
subtleties of colour. Sam employs loose expressive brushstrokes whichperfectly convey both the simple and complex areas of his compositions.Some of the scenes may well be familiar, some may not but there's one
thing for sure - the distinctive styles of these artists paintings will not be
forgotten.
Deli Central: Art of Food
Deli Central will be holding an "impromptu" wine and cheese tastingevent between 6.00pm and 7.00pm.
The Hepworth Wakefield
The Hepworth opens its doors for tours of the building and the
opportunity to meet the team. Refreshments will be provided.
