first year, students work on inter-disciplin-

ary projects in partnership with leading

include Creating Vehicle Transmission

Parts and Designing a Remote-controlled

Motor Club: Formula UEM was created in

2007 and currently involves more than 70

students from different degree programs,

who work together on the design, con-

struction and public presentation of the

open-wheel car, which races every year in

Formula Student, a motor racing competi-

tion for students from all over the world.

also created professional clubs with ambi-

Con la nueva metodologa del Espacio

Europeo de Educacin Superior (EEES) handesparecido las titulaciones tradicionales de:

Eso no quiere decir que no pueda conse-

guirse la profesin de esas ingenieras:

Telecomunicaciones.

Estas profesiones se alcanzan tras cursar

algn Grado y un Master que te habilita para

ejercerlas. Para alcanzar estas profesiones,

en la Universidad Europea ponemos a tu

disposicin los siguientes caminos de acceso

a las mismas.

Este conjunto de titulaciones, todas ellas

pertenecientes al EEES, te capacitarn para

ejercer las profesiones respectivas, con todas

las atribuciones legales que la vigente ley

The Dual Bachelors Degree in Software

Engineering is designed for people with

lively minds who would like international op-

portunities from the start of their careers, in

order to work anywhere in the world.

It is taught in a bilingual format, 40% English

and 60% Spanish, the first three years at

Madrid and the last in the United Kingdom,

at the University of Staffordshire. You wil l

receive hands-on training in labs in top-level

facilities with small groups.

Project-based methodology. From year one,

students work on real projects in collabora-

tion with the most important companies in

the market, through projects such as: De-

signing a remote controlled mobile robot.

The United Kingdom is the European coun-

try with the most productive industry in in-

formation and communications technology.

This means that after coursing the final yearin the United Kingdom and earning a British

degree from the University of Staffordshire,

you will have more opportunities to start

your career in an international location.

Our curriculum will allow you professional

mentored internships in some of the most

which the university has agreements in order

In the future, if you wish to do so, you may

continue your training with a Masters

La doble titulacin Dual Bachelors Degree

in Software Engineering est pensada para

Se imparte en formato bilinge 40% ingls y

CLUBES PROFESIONALES//ACTIVITIES

La Escuela Politcnica fomenta el trabajo en

equipo de los alumnos y la conexin con elmundo profesional, a traves de los Clubes

Profesionales: Civil Emprende, Club Aeroes-

pacial y Frmula UEM.

El Club Civil Emprende est formado por

los propios alumnos del Grado, que realizan

proyectos y actividades a lo largo del ao

cuyo objetivo es el emprendimiento y la

conexin con el mundo profesional. Ej Cons-

truccin Presa en el Campus Marzo 2013, o

el concurso de construccin de puentes con

maquetas.

Club aeroespacial est formado por alumnos

de todos los cursos del grado en ingenie-

ra aeroespacial. Los miembros del club

organizan y realizan actividades del mbito

aeronutico con el fin de aplicar sus conoci-

mientos adquiridos durante su carrera.

El Club del Motor: Frmula UEM fue creado

en el ao 2007 y actualmente cuenta con

ms de 70 alumnos de diferentes titulacio-

nes, que trabajan juntos en el diseo, cons-

truccin y desarrollo del vehculo mono-plaza que compite anualmente en Formula

Student, una competicin automovilstica

entre estudiantes de todo el mundo.

The School of Engineering encourages team-

work among its students and keeps themconnected to the real working world through

its Professional Clubs: Civil Emprende, Club

Aeroespacial and Formula UEM.

Club Civil Emprende is a club made up of

enterprising Civil Engineering undergradu-

ates who carry out projects and activities

throughout the year, and whose aim is to

promote entrepreneurship and develop

connections with the professional world.

Past projects include March 2013 Build a

Dam on Campus or the Scale Model Bridge

Building competition.

The Aerospace Club is made up of students

from all years of the Bachelors Degree in

Aerospace Engineering. Club members

organize and carry out activities in the field

of aeronautics in order to use the knowledge

acquired during their studies.

Motor Club: Formula UEM was created in

2007 and currently involves more than 70

students from different degree programs,who work together on the design, construc-

tion and public presentation of the open-

wheel car, which races every year in Formula

Student, a motor racing competition for

students from all over the world.



La Frmula Student es el mayor evento

europeo del mundo del motor con perfil

educativo. En ella, participan estudiantes

universitarios de las mejores universidadeseuropeas, cuyo reto es la aplicacin de cono-

cimientos tcnicos y trabajo en equipo con el

objetivo de disear y construir un monoplaza

de competicin.

El equipo FrmulaUEM, nace en el ao 2007

como un proyecto de alumnos de la Univer-

sidad Europea de Madrid entusiasmados por

el mundo del motor, buscando una manera

de poner en prctica todos los conocimien-

tos adquiridos en sus clases. El 2013, es el

quinto ao en el que el equipo participa en la

competicin Formula Student.

En la actualidad el equipo est formado por

ms de 70 estudiantes, nmero que sigue

creciendo da a da con la incorporacin de

nuevos miembros al equipo. Este ao hemos

de destacar que aparte de estudiantes de

ingeniera, se han unido a nuestro proyecto

estudiantes muy valiosos de otras escuelas

de la Universidad Europea de Madrid,

posibilidad que muy pocas universidades

en Europa ofrecen, limitndolas en la mayor

parte de las ocasiones a los alumnos deingeniera.

Nuestro principal objetivo para este ao

2013, es la construccin del UEM05, el cual

se encuentra en un estado de diseo muy

avanzado. Con l, conseguiremos el ambi-

cioso objetivo de clasificarnos dentro del

percentil 25, en las prximas competiciones:

Silverstone y Montmelo.

Formula Student is the largest education-

based motoring event in Europe. Students

from top European universities take part in

the challenge to use their technical knowl-edge and teamwork skills to design and build

a single-seater race car.

The FormulaUEM team started out in 2007

as a project by some Universidad Europea de

Madrid students, motoring enthusiasts look-

ing for a way to put into practice what they

were learning in their classes. 2013 is the

fifth year the team took part in the Formula

Student competition.

At present the team consists of more than

70 students, and is growing daily as new

members join. In fact, many students from

other schools at the Universidad Europea

de Madrid have joined our project this year.

Very few European universities offer this

possibility, these projects mainly being

limited to engineering students.

Our main objective for 2013 is to build the

UEM05, which is at a very advanced stage

of design. This will enable us to achieve the

ambitious goal of finishing in the top 25% in

the competitions: Silverstone and Montmel.
