THREE IN ONE

Today we honor God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that God is one being yet three distinct persons. Do not let the word "person" fool you; here it means "individual reality," not like a human person.

How can the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit be distinct yet completely united? Well, think of your eyes: each is distinct, yet together they are one and undivided in the sight.

Alternatively, think of Jesus as solid, like ice: he became fully human in our world. The Holy Spirit, like steam, is someone unseen, but with great power. The Father is like water, without which there would neither steam nor ice. All these explanations fall short.

The Trinity is a mystery; but "mystery" does not mean a riddle to be solved, but a reality beyond our human comprehension. It is a truth we can only begin to know through worship, symbol, and faith.

Junio 7, es la festividad de la Santísima Trinidad y Junio 14, Celebraremos Corpus Christi y Junio 19, tendremos la festividad del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús.

TRES EN UNO

Hoy honramos a Dios: Padre, Hijo, y Espíritu Santo. Nosotros creemos que Dios es uno y tres diferentes personas. No te dejes por la palabra "persona," pues en este caso significa más bien "una realidad individual," no como una persona humana. ? Como puede el Padre, el Hijo y el Espíritu Santo ser distintos y al mismo tiempo completamente unidos? Buenos pues, piensa en tus ojo es distingo, pero la visión es una e integrada. También piensa en Jesús solido como el hielo: el se hizo del todo humano en nuestro mundo; en el Espíritu Santo como el valor: casi invisible, pero fuerte; y en el Padre como el agua: sin ella no habría ni vapor ni hielo. Pero todas estas comparaciones resultan podres. La Santísima Trinidad es un misterio. Mas, "misterio" no quiere decir un enigma que resolver, sino una realidad que esta mas ella de nuestra comprensión humana, una verdad que solo podemos experimentar a través de la fe, los símbolos y el culto divino. RREEFFLLEEXXIIOONNEEMMOOSS SSOOBBRREE LLAA PPAALLAABBRRAA DDEE DDIIOOSS ¿Te has preguntado alguna vez por qué la Iglesia elige ciertas lecturas para sus fiestas especiales? Tome por ejemplo las lecturas de esta fiesta. Está dedicada a la Santísima Trinidad, pero en ninguna parte de estas lecturas tenemos una descripción clara de esta doctrina crucial de nuestra fe. En la primera lectura, por ejemplo, Moisés realmente ve a Dios y lo oye proclamar su nombre: Yahweh. También aprende quién es este Dios: "un Dios misericordioso y misericordioso, lento para la ira y rico en bondad" (Éxodo 34: 6). Hermosas verdades, pero nada sobre la trinidad. Por supuesto, las tres personas de la Trinidad aparecen en la segunda lectura, pero solo en la forma de una bendición final del apóstol Pablo. Reflecting on God’s Word The Holy Trinity

Have you ever wondered why the Church chooses some reading for its special feast days? Take today's feat, for example. It's dedicated to the Holy Trinity, but nowhere in these reading do we have a clear spelling out of this crucial doctrine of our faith. In the first reading, for instance, Moses actually gets to see God and hear him proclaim his name: Yahweh. He also learns who this God is: "a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger and rich in kindness" (Exodus 34:6). Beautiful truths, but nothing about the trinity Granted, the three Persons of the Trinity do appear in the second reading, but only in the form of a final blessings from the apostle Paul. And the focus seems to be on grace, love, and fellowship more than on the truths of three divine Persons in one God. Then in today's Gospel, the apostle John tells us about the way God loves his people-through humility, sacrifice, and self-giving. He tells of a God who "did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through. So why do we have these readings for this feast? Because at the heart of today's feat is not a solution to a mathematical puzzle of how God could be three in one. Rather, it's a divine mystery, that our God, who is a Trinity of divine Persons, loves us longs to reveal himself to us. It's the promise that his revelation has the power to melt our hearts and heal our souls. A God of mercy and kindness; A God of constant blessings; A God who saves and doesn't condemn These are the Trinitarian Truths he wants to reveal to you on this marvelous feast day. These are truths than can become the foundation for every aspects of your life. Let him proclaim his name to you. From the Word among us-June 2020
