• He spent time with them in battle

• He knew their capabilities

• He sacrificed for them

• They enjoyed victory together

• David honoured them

• David knew he couldn’t do it alone



Synergism

• Synergism can be defined as the interaction of elements that, when combined, produce an effect that is greater than the sum of the individual parts

• Synergy is joint action that increases the effectiveness of each member of a team



Jesus and his 12 apostles• This was a significant

decision• The Lord prayed all

night to prepare for it. Luk 6;12-13

• Jesus was prepared to pour himself unreservedly into their lives.

unshakable reality of the resurrection and the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit turned a group of men who were characterised by confusion, infighting and self-interest into a genuinely synergistic team



Masterful teams are tough to build

• Jesus recruited specific people for specific reasons

• Jesus taught his team of individuals to understand, appreciate and love each other each other

• Jesus recruited each of them based on their individual strengths and who would contribute to the others members of the team



Believe in your purpose

• Effective leaders simply need to believe in their purpose and their people. Read Matthew 16:13-20



Due to its immense power and impact, teamwork will become an essential part in every ministry.



As is the case in the animal kingdom, ministries will become increasingly dependent on working together towards a common goal in order to secure survival.

Just as the Lion protects his pride must the leading manager in a ministry support, care and guide his/her employees.

of people who are committed to achieving common objectives, who work well together and enjoy doing so, and who produce quality results



Dynamics of LifeSome members keep a ministry so strong,while others join just to belongSome dig right in, serve with pride,some go along just for the ride

Some volunteer to do their share,while some lie back and just don’t careSome do their best, some help, some make,some do nothing, only take.
