    Union Public Service Commission will be conducting the Indian Forest Service Examination 2012commencing from 14-07-2012 to 23-07-2012 all over India. The Commission has uploaded the e-Admit Cards for the convenience of the admitted candidate(s) (or the rea-sons/groimds for rejectionof application in respect of rejected applications) on its website (http://www.upsc.gov.in). The candidatesare advised to download their e-Admit Cards and take a printout thereof. The admitted candidateswill have to produce the printout of their e-Admit Cards at the allotted venue for appearing in theexamination. In case the photograph is not visible or available on the e-Admit Cards, candidates areadvised to carry identical photographs (one photograph for each session) along with proof of Identitysuch as Identity Card Or Voter Identity Card or Passport or Driving License and the printout of e-AdmitCard at the venue of the Examination. No paper Admit Card will be issued for this examination by theCommission. The candidates are advised to take a printout of the e-Admit Card (or the reasons/grounds for rejection of application in respect of rejected applications) well in advance to avoid lastminute rush. In the past, cases have been noticed where some candidates have faced difficulty inaccessing the server on the last day on account of server overload. The Selection process will comprise :- (a) Written Test of 100 Marks: The question paof Writen Test will be bilingual i.e. English and Hindi.     (Practical) will be as per Trade Test Specification of the semi-skilled grade of the relevant tradeAll eligible candidates will be called for an objective type written test. On the basis of merit of wrtest marks, candidates will be called for Trade Test (Practical Test) of 100 marks in the ratio of 1the number of vacancies in the respective trades. Final merit will be decided on the basicombined marks in the Written and Trade Test (Practical Test). In the selection process, other thbeing equal i.e. marks being equal, trained Ex-Trade Apprentices of the recruiting Ordnance Facand Sister Ordnance Factories shall be given preference in the order in which they are placedbetween the trained Ex. Trade Apprentices of the recruiting factory, preference shall be "givethose who are senior i.e. if two or more Ex. Trade Apprentices secure the same marks then prefershall be given on the basis of seniority. Seniority of Ex. Trade Apprentices of the recruiting OrdnFactory shall be decided on the basis of OFB's Letter No. 13/08/03/A/HRD dated 15/17-12-2which is as follow :- i) The NCTVT examination batch numbers (month/year) will be the criteriamaintaining the seniority of Ex-TA. ii) The merit list of the particular NCTVT examination will becriteria of seniority for Ex-TA for that batch. Similarly in between the trained Ex-Trade Apprenticethe Sister Ordnance Factories preference shall be given to those who are senior as mentioabove. In all other cases of tie, the selection will be decided on the basis of marks obtained inWritten Examination only. The ITI candidates and its equivalent Diploma/Certificate holders wilconsidered for selection only when NCVT Certificate (i.e. NAC or NTC) holders are not availablethe post. (d) Minimum Qualification Standards for: The candidates are required to obtainminimum marks separately in writen examination and practical trade test as given below toconsidered for selection:- UR Candidates : Minimum 40% marks. ST, ST & OBC CandidaMinimum 35% marks. Physical Disabled Person & Ex-Serviceman : Minimum 30% marks

    qualify for selection, the candidates are required to secure minimum qualifying marks as specfor the different categories separately in the Written Test and Trade Test :- Only candidates secure the minimum qualifying marks and above in the written test will be considered for becalled for the trade test in the ratio of 1:3 of the number of vacancies. For preparation of the selection list / merit list, only those candidates who also secure the minimum qualifying marks above even in the trade test will be considred. 05 - Language for Written Examination: The quepapers of Written Test for all posts will be bilingual i.e. English and Hindi. However, the questionthe portion of English Language subject will be in English only. 06 - Physical DisabilitiesPhysical disabilities must be 40% or above. II - Definition of Disabilities: (A) Hearing ImpairmMeans loss of 60 decibels or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequenciesLocomotors Disability: Means disability of the bones, joints or muscles leading to substanrestriction of movement of the limbs or any form of cerebral palsy. (C) Cerebral Palsy: Means a gof non-progressive conditions of a person characterized by abnormal motor control posture resufrom brain insult or injuries occurring in the pre-natal, perinatal or infant period of developmentthe cases of orthopedically handicapped persons would be covred under the category of 'LocomoDisability' or 'Cerebral Palsy'. III - Competent Authority to issue Disability Certiificate: The compAuthority to issue Disability Certificate shall be a Medical Board duly constituted by the CentraState Government. The Central/State Government may constitute Medical Board(s) consisting oleast three members out of which at least one should be a specialist in the particular fieldassessing locomotors/cerebral/hearing/visual disability, as the case may be. The Medical Boshall, after due examination, give a permanent disability certificate in cases of such permadisabilities where there are no chances of variation in the degree of disability. The Medical Boshall indicate the period of validity of the certificate, in case where there are chances of variatio

    MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS, GOVERNMENT OF INDIARECRUITMENT NOTICE FOR THE POSTs OF CONSTABLE (TRADESMEN) - 2012

    Applications are invited from eligible Male Indian citizens for filling up the following Group CCombatised, Non-Gazetted (Non-Ministerial) posts in tradesmen cadres in SSB for the year 2012 inthe pay scale of Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2000/- Per month plus usual and admissibleallowances to Central Government employees including ration allowance, medical assistance, freeuniform, free accommodation, free leave passes etc. The post is temporary but likely to becomepermanent. The posts have all India transfer liability and selected candidates can be posted anywherein India and abroad. On appointment, the candidate shall be governed by SSB Act and Rules. Lastdate of receipt of application is 09-08-2012 for all states. 1. Vacancies: Trade wise and category wisedetails of vacancies are as follows:-

    Note: 1. The number of vacancies are subject to change without any notice and may increase ordecrease depending upon the position at the time of final selection. 2. In the cases, where novacancies in the post are reserved for SC/ST/OBC, the candidates of these reserved category mayalso apply for the post provided they fulfill all the eligibility conditions for general category. 3. Theposts are temporary but likely to be permanent. 4. The recruitment will be conducted on all Indiabasis. 5. Selected candidates are liable to be posted any where within as well as outside the Territoryof India according to transfer policy of the force. 2. Pay Scale and Other Allowances: Pay Scale:(Pay Band 1): Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs. 2000/- per month. 3. Other Allowances: Thepost will carry Dearness Allowance, Ration Money, Washing Allowance, Free Uniform, Freeaccommodation or HRA, Transport Allowance, Free Leave Pass and any other allowance as admissiblein the Force from time to time under the Rules/ Instructions. They will be covered under newrestructured contributory pension scheme. A candidate appearing in the recruitment test must mention/ intimate if any criminal cases (s) is / are pending / contemplated against him in any Police station/ Honble Court. 4. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS: The candidate must fulfill all eligibility conditionsand should be in possession of all certificates on 09-08-2012. Candidates appearing in theexamination/ awaiting result/ educational certificates, Experience certificate need not apply. A) AgeLimit - (i) 18 to 23 years ( The crucial date to determine the age will be 09-08-2012) Note: OnlyMatriculation certificate will be accepted as a proof for establishing age of the candidates and noother document will be accepted. B) RELAXATION: (i) There will be relaxation in age for SC/ST/OBC (i. e. 5 years for SC/ST & 3 years for OBC). (ii) The upper age limit relaxable up to 5 years incase the candidate is already in Government service. Government employees / servants clamingage relaxation should be in possession of a certificate in prescribed format from their office in respectof the length of continuous service which should not be less than 03 years in the immediate periodpreceding the date of recruitment/ closing date of receipt of application. They should also continueto have the status of Government servant/ employees till the time of appointment, in the event oftheir selection. The candidate will have to produce NOC form his department at the time of applyingfor the post/ recruitment. However, departmental candidate may forward their application throughproper channel from their head of the offices. This concession will be admissible only where aGovernment employee has rendered not less than 3 (three) years Continuous service in Govt.Department. (iii) The Relaxation in upper age limit of 5 years shall also be admissible to all posts forthe candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of J&K during the period from 01/01/

    1980 to 31/12/1989. The candidate will have to produce a certificate from the concerned DistrictCollector to claim such relaxation in age. (iv) Five years of age relaxation will also be granted to thechildren and dependent family members of those killed in the 1984 riots and 2002 communal riotsof Gujarat Children mean (a) Son (including adopted son): or (b) Daughter (including adopteddaughter) Dependent family members mean: (a) Spouse; or (b) Children; or Brother or Sister in thecase of unmarried Govt. servant who was wholly dependent on the Govt. servant at the time of hiskilling in the riot. The candidate will have to produce a certificate to the effect, issued by theconcerned District Collector to claim relaxation in age. Children and dependent family members ofthose killed in the riots (1984 riots and 2002 communal riots of Gujarat) will also produce a certificatefrom the concerned District Collector. v) The above relaxation in age as mentioned in Para 4 (B) iito iv is in addition to relaxation to 5 years in age for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates as perGovernment orders. 5. DEFINITIONS / RELAXATION AND SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR EX-SERVICEMEN: i) Age: Relaxation to the extent of military service plus 3 years as provided in DOP&TNotification No.39016/10179-Rectt dated 15.12.1979. ii) Every Ex-Serviceman who has put in notless than six months continuous service in the Armed Forces of the Union, shall be allowed to deductthe period of such service from his actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximumage limit by more than three years he shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding age limit.However, break in service should not be more than two years. iii) Ex-Servicemen holding the higherrank may also compete in this recruitment for lower post provided they fulfill the eligibility criteriaand also they furnish their willingness in writing that in the event of their selection they will not claimthe post equivalent to the rank they were holding in the Defence Forces. iv) Character certificate:Minimum requirement will be Exemplary/Very Good/Good category certificate v) Medical Category:A(AYE)/SHAPE-ONE, at the time of discharge. They should possess to pass the same medicalstandards prescribed for direct recruits. vi) Ex-servicemen means a person who has served in anyrank(whether as a combatant or as a non-combatant ) in the Regular Army, Navy and Air Force of theIndian Union but does not include a person who has served in the Defence Security Corps, theGeneral Reserve Engineering Force, the Lok Sahayak Sena and the paramilitary forces; and vii)Who has retired from such service after earning his/her pension; this would also include persons whoare released/retired at their own request but after having earned their pension or who has beenreleased from such service on medical grounds attributable to military service or circumstancesbeyond his control and awarded medical or other disability pension or who has been released,otherwise than on his own request, from such service as a result of reduction in establishment; or whohas been released from such service after completing the specific period of engagement, otherwisethan at his own request or by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency,and has been given a gratuity, and includes personnel of the Territorial Army, of the followingcategories, namely:-viii) Pension holders for continuous embodied services; 6. EDUCATIONAL &OTHER QUALIFICATIONS FOR ALL POSTS: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Boardwith Two years work experience in respective trade OR (i) One year certificate course from a recognizedIndustrial Training Institute OR Vocational Institute with at least one year experience in the Trade;OR ( ii)Two years Diploma from recognized Industrial Training Institute in the trade or similar trade.Note: Educational certificate other than State Board/Central Board should be accompanied withGovt. of India notification declaring that such qualification is equivalent to Matriculation / 10th Classpass for service under Central Govt. Candidates must qualify the trade test for appointment as aTradesman in SSB. Note: Multi-skilled candidates will be given preference except for the post of CT(Painter) and CT ( Carpenter). 7. STANDARDS OF PHYSICAL MEASUREMENTS

    9. MEDICAL STANDARD: The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes witcorrection i.e. without wearing of glasses. Candidates must not have knock-knee, flat foot, varivein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performancthe duties. They should conform to the medical standards prescribed by the Force and shoulddeclared fit by the Medical Officers of SSB. The medical certificate obtained from elsewhere wilbe entertained. In the event of any doubt or dispute decision of SSB shall be final. 10. METHODRECRUITMENT: The selection process shall consist of following stages :- I) Documentation II) PhyStandard Test ( PST) III) Physical Efficiency Test ( PET) IV) Written Test V) Technical test (Trade TVI) Final Medical Examination VII) Review Medical Examination. 10.1. DOCUMENTAT(CHECKING OF ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS / CERTIFICATES FOR ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:candidates who report at the designated recruitment venue on the given date and time will be asked to submit their call letter/admit card and other documents all in original for verification of educational qualification, Technical qualification, Experience, Caste/category etc., which wireturned on spot after verification. Candidates must bring attested copies of all the documents two attested photographs. 10.2. PHYSICAL STANDARD TEST (PST): The candidates who are foeligible in documentation will be put through Physical measurement Test as prescribed ineligibility conditions i.e. para-7 above. 10.3. PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST (PET): PET wiqualifying in nature and a candidate must qualify in all the above events. Failure to qualify in Aof the events of PET will render the candidate disqualified to appear in Written Examination.Servicemen are exempted for PST/ PET. However they will have to appear in Technical / TrTest, Written Examination and Final Medical Examination. 10.4. WRITTEN EXAMINATION:candidates who qualify PST and PET will appear in written examination on OMR based AnsSheets which will comprise 100 multiple choice objective type questions of 100 marks with 2(hours duration. The question paper will be set to assess the general awareness, general knowleelementary mathematics, analytical aptitude and basic knowledge of the candidate in EngHindi. Minimum qualifying marks : 35% for Gen. and Ex- Servicemen 33% for SC/ST/OBC. NoCandidates appearing in written test will not be allowed to carry electronic equipments like mophone, calculator, pager, digital wrist watch having calculator etc. Any candidate found indulginany unfair practice will be summarily removed from the written test and will be debarred from furrecruitments in SSB. 10.5 PRACTICAL/TRADE TEST (75 MARKS): Candidates who qualify the PET and written examination will be put through Trade Test of 75 marks. The Trade Test is puqualifying in nature and Candidates will have to secure minimum 50% marks to qualify the TTest. These marks will not be added to the written examination marks for preparation of fselection of the candidates for the posts. NOTE:- The candidate shall bring their own tools/ matrequired for their Trade Test. 10.6 MEDICAL TEST: The candidates who qualify Trade Test wicalled for Final Medical Examination strictly on the basis of merit of written examination accorto notified vacancies to assess their physical and medical fitness as prescribed in the eligibconditions. Note:- (i) The candidates will be called for medical examination over and abovenumber of vacancies advertised so that if some candidates high up in the merit list (category wisenot make it through medical examination, candidates lower in merit list could be considered

    appointment strictly based on merit. (ii) Being called for medical examination will in no way any legal claim or right to any candidate being finally appointed. 10.7. APPEAL AGAINST FINDINGS OF MEDICAL EXAMINATION: If a candidate is declared unfit in the detailed medexamination, the grounds for rejection will be communicated to him by the Chairman. The rejecandidates will obtain Form 4, 5 & 6 from the Chairman concerned, if not satisfied with the findof the Medical Officer, to prefer an appeal for Review-medical examination to Inspector Gen(Pers.), SSB Force HQ, R.K. Puram, New Delhi, within 30 days from the date of issue of communicin which the findings of the Medical Officer is communicated to the candidate. The appeal shnecessarily contain the following; (a) Review Medical Examination fee of Rs.25/-(Rupees twfive) only non refundable, through a Bank Draft/IPO in favour of PAO, SSB (MHA), New DelhiAppeal Form 4, 5 & 6 issued by the Initial Medical Board declaring the candidate as Unfit, (c) Oself addressed envelope with Rs.25/- postage stamp duly affixed on it. Fitness certificate other on Form 6 (provided by the Chairman of Recruitment Board to the Candidates) submitteappeal for Review Medical Examination will not be considered and rejected straightway. The fitncertificate on Form- 6 is essential to consider their cases for review medical examination and noany other purpose. Path/ Lab test expenses if any, occurred during Review Medical Examinationbe born by the candidates. Those candidates whose review medical appeal found in order wiissued admit cards to appear for Review Medical Examination in the self addressed envelopetheir list will also be uploaded in the SSB Website www.ssbrectt.gov.in. They may also keep in toto know their date of appearing in review medical examination & venue by visiting our website helpline No.011-26193929. The decision of the Review Medical Board of SSB will be final and2nd appeal will be entertained as per Govt. instructions and also no reply of the corresponden2nd appeal will be given / entertained. Note:- It should, however, be clearly understood thaSelection board reserves absolute discretion to reject or accept any candidate after consideringreport of the medical board. 11. FINAL SELECTION:- The final selection list will be prepared in oof merit, category wise, after completion of Review Medical Examination. It is hereby emphasthat the candidates who merely secure the qualifying percentage marks and found medically fit, not be considered for final selection since the cut off marks will be determined according to numof vacancies as well as after completion of whole recruitment process. Where equal marks have bobtained by candidates their merit will be fixed as per date of birth. The older candidate wigiven preference and in case the date of birth is also the same, marks in the written test would dethe merit. The result of provisionally selected candidates will be uploaded in SSB webwww.ssbrectt.gov.in as per availability of vacancies. The selected candidates will be issued offeappointment with the direction to report to the allotted units within 45 days from the date of issuoffer of appointment. No further extension will be given except in deserving cases. The provisiappointment of the candidates will be subject to verification of their Caste and other Certificrelated to recruitment through proper channel and if the verification reveals that the certificatesfalse at any stage, the candidates service will be terminated forthwith without assigning any furreasons and without prejudice to such further action as may be taken under the provisions of InPenal Code for production of false certificates. 12. On the basis of merit of written test marks, candidates will be called for Trade (practical test) of 100 marks in the ratio of 1:3 to the number of vacancies.
