The MH70I Industrial PC offers an open and flexible embedded system platform based on high-performance and robust CompactPCI boards, and complete software support.

It is configurable with a selection of standard hardware, software and accessories. The heart of the platform is an Intel Core i7 CPU board.

The configuration of the nine-slot MH70I can be defined individually by choosing the operating system (Windows/Linux), industrial fieldbus functions such as CANopen, DeviceNet, Real- Time-Ethernet, digital and analog ports based on M-Module boards, storage devices and customized PCI boards.

What makes the MH70I modular?

The MH70I embedded IPC is based on a built-to-order concept and offers not just flexibility by choosing different operating systems, industrial field bus boards, PSU types, input/output modules or storage devices. The slots can be also combined with different form factor standards.

Two slots are provided for both CompactPCI and CompactPCI Serial peripheral boards. Two additional slots, which can either be used for PCI or PCI Express cards, or for two CompactPCI Serial peripheral boards as well as the CompactPCIPlusIO system slot. Two PSU slots ensure a redundant, safe power supply and support AC, DC or USP PSUs.

PCI Express, CompactPCI and CompactPCI Serial cards in one system?

In order to ensure real flexibility and meeting the requirements of as many different applications as possible, the system design enables robust CompactPCIcards, high-speed CompactPCI Serial cards as well as PCI or PCI Express cards, which are still common in industrial automation.

Thanks to the innovative backplane design, customers can choose if they would like to integrate their own or third-party PCI or PCI Express boards in slot 8 and 9, by using special adapter boards. If no PCI/PCI Express boards are needed these slots are prepared for CompactPCI Serial boards.
