Appendix A Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies Brock University Lacie Dearsley, Undergraduate Student Brock University Dept. of Recreation and Leisure Studies [email protected] We are looking for volunteers to take part in a study to help us better understand how having a sibling diagnosed with an intellectual disability impacts the social roles, leisure meanings and experiences of young women. Potential participants should be young females over the age of 18 that have a sibling diagnosed with an intellectual disability. If you are a Brock University student, you do not need to be 18 years old to partake in this study. Participants must have dwelled in the same residence as their sibling under the direct care of their mothers into their young adult hood. As a participant in this study, you will be required to attend a one-to-one interview. Your participation would involve one interview session of which is approximately two hours in length.
