Name of our production company

The name of our production company is 3Lions Films .

We have decided to call the company this because it reflects the British culture and also shows the unity of British media along with the art of film. The ideas incorporated into the films produced enable the company alongside the directors to produce a phenomenon.

Target audience The audience for films that 3Lions Films is British youths, primarily students and adolescence who come from a low socio-economic background as these people can relate to the issues that are presented in the films we fund and produce. These students will most likely have little/no money if they are at school, therefore we must ensure that our product is of cheap availability in order for us to make awareness of these social issues. The films that we produce will be aimed at both males and females as they focus on the real issues that people face in Britain, the films that we produce are also aimed at people of all sexualities. This is shown with the films that we aim to produce as they focus on contemporary raw social issues such as sexuality.

Brand image We hope that our brand is perceived as honest to the audience, presenting all inequalities that they may face in the current situation in Britain. We hope to create a youthful image to attract our intended target audience. Our contemporary image will help to enhance our clientele and audience to boost our reputation in the film industry. We focus primarily on the art of film creating no limits when it comes to the issues raised in the film.

This is our logo. We have used the name of our company and truly reflected it into the logo. It has aspects of Hollywood film production companies yet also simplistic which references the British Social Realism films that our company produces.

On our website it will feature previous films which have been produce by the company. Reviews, clips and current films being produced will also be included on the website. The website will be contemporary and up-to-date to attract the intended audience. Links to our social media sites will also be included to show our availability when it comes to interesting the clients and audience.

Probable clients

We as a company we believe that the best ideas for a relevant social realism film would come from university graduates or people who are studying the art of film. This is as they have the knowledge needed for the process of film making, they will also understand the unique selling point of 3Lions Films Production Company, which is the art of film and not the money.We have a team of qualified professional film makers, along with professional marketing experts who have the ability to boost the ‘new’ film makers knowledge of real film making and give a clear representation of what is expected in the world of film. Our experts will not be giving them any advise on how to make a profitable film as our main focus is the art of film and how it develops over time not the financial rewards which many companies have. We will aim to visit university's across the UK and scout for talent, this will be a great opportunity for the students to present their ideas to the company that they wouldn’t have received.

One of the most important things to think about in regards to our film production company is the employees that we chose to employ. Very much like our probable clients we wanted them to be ‘trendy’ and young that would straight away connect with our target market this way we will be more likely to produce films that our market want and therefore will give the exposure that our films will need which will then enable our company to highlight the up and coming talent of film production.

As with any company there is an organisational structure because without it a business will not be successful as they will not have the concrete needed to be able to build on it. Our production department is one of the most important aspects of our business and its very important that we employ the most suitable candidates in order for our company to be successful. The production company includes a producer who will be in charge of the whole operation making sure everything is running smooth and efficiently in order to produce a great film. We also have a planning team that will be able to work with the budding director to make sure they can produce to the best that they can do. For example, the idea for our business is that up and coming artists who have a real good idea that could potentially be made in to a film so we provide the funds and support to help them do this in aid of highlighting British Media. We can also give them a team that will help with their cinematography, casting and marketing.

Although our production department is very important to us we also have a finance department who will be in charge of our funds. As our company is a non-profit organisation who helps aspiring film directors we much make sure we don’t spend too much money otherwise our business will fail. Furthermore, we also have a marketing department who will be in charge of marketing our business in order to make sure it is well established these include researchers, public relations, sales and product planning they will also be in charge of all these web-based such as our website and social network programme. 

Unique selling pointsOur main selling point is our company’s fascination with the art of filming and a true portrayal of British Culture. We have the interest of the represented in mind all the time to not disregard them. Another unique selling point is that we have an equal opportunities act where we employee and help anyone and everyone who has an interest in the category which focus in.

Funding prioritiesOur funding priorities as a company are using low expense filming equipment and urban settings to create a realistic undertone to the films which are being produced. We help fund young producers and directors entering short film competitions so they are able to get a grip on the film industry and create films and scripts of award winning potential.

Types of films to be producedFilms which 3Lions Films Production company will produce are short British Social Realism films reflecting the true nature of modern British society. As a company, we have decided to specifically specialise in creating short British Social Realism films because as a film genre it truly emphasises the important social, economical, political and environmental problems and issues occurring in Britain which affect a wide audience and mostly having repercussions on the teenage audience. In turn they would engage well in the short films of British Social Realism that we will create.

Marketing strategiesMarketing is very important to a business especially a film production company as this is an extremely competitive market, so if we was unable to market it properly then it will not be successful. The 4 P’s: Price: Non-profitable organisation – however, when clients have distributed their films and they get sold to distributors we will be entitled to have 10% to cover costs of legal and administration attributes. Promotion: Promotion is very important to our company, we plan to use social networking and other web-based strategies in order to promote our company and films that we help make. We also put of events and showings of our films as well as giving people the chance to showcase their talent. Product: Our product is to help clients produce their films. Place: Britain, the films we tend to produce are within the genre or social realism

Partnerships Partnerships that 3Lions Films Production Company will uphold are with other production companies who also have a focus of either short films or British Social Realism. The partnerships may include working with Film4 Films and the UK Film Council as they have a record of contributing to British Social Realism films of feature length which have all been a success.

venuesVenues at which 3Lions Films Production Company will be showcasing their projects are independent cinemas and film festivals. Examples of cinemas which our films will be shown at are: BFI, Curzon Chelsea, Curzon, Soho, Electric cinema and Genesis. Festivals which our products will be shown are at Abandon Normal Device, Bath Film Festival and British Student Film Festival.

Other media platforms

As a company, which is current, we pride ourselves on our all-round networking to attract and teach young aspiring film directors (or any sector of film-making, pre-production and post-production) on achieving their goal. We use social networking sites such as Facebook and twitter to gain an audience and clients which would use our company to produce a British Social Realism Film.
