How to get your hands on Ether?

ethereum

During this demonstration we will show how to get some ethers by:

■ Purchase bitcoins from a bitcoin exchange (e.g., BITSTAMP)■ Create an ethereum account using ethkey from the Ethereum Turbo Distribution■ Using bitcoins and use shapeshift to convert them to ethers and send them to the newly created

account■ Backing up the private key for access to the ethers

Problem

ethereum

When consumer make a purchase of used items in the secondary market, it is often difficult to transfer any warranties the product might have to the new owner.

Using the Ethereum platform, we will design and implement a smart contract based solution for tracking and transferring warranties of used products when selling a used item

Tools

ethereum

We will be using the following tools to solve this problem:■ The Mix IDE which will use to write and debug the smart contract■ Meteor, for creating a web facing interface to interact with the smart contract
