Transcript of 3 God’s Redeeming Love Part 4 – “Love on Display”.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or
resentful; 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love
never ends.
Exodus 34:6-7The LORD passed before [Moses] and
proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD, a God merciful and gracious, slow to
anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness,
7 keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression
and sin…
1 John 4:8-9God is love “and the love of
God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through
him.”
Ephesians 2:4-5 But because of his great love for
us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even
when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace
you have been saved.
Romans 5:8But God demonstrates his
own love for us in this: While we were still
sinners, Christ died for us.
1 John 4:7-8Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Anyone who does
not love does not know God, because God is love.
1 John 4:11-12Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God;
if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is
perfected in us.
1 Samuel 8:18
And in that day you will cry out because of your king,
whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the LORD will not answer you in that
day.”
Acts 5:30-31 The God of our fathers raised
Jesus, whom you killed by hanging him on a tree.
31 God exalted him at his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and
forgiveness of sins.
Acts 11:18And they glorified God, saying, “Then to the Gentiles also God has granted repentance that
leads to life.”
2 Timothy 2:24-25And the Lord’s servant must not be
quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil,
25 correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant
them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth,
Acts 2:29-31 “Brothers, I may say to you with confidence about
the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.
Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that he would set
one of his descendants on his throne, 31 he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to Hades, nor
did his flesh see corruption.
Acts 2:32-33This Jesus God raised up, and of that
we all are witnesses. 33 Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the
Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you
yourselves are seeing and hearing.
Acts 2:34-36 For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says, “ ‘The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand, 35 until I make your enemies
your footstool.’ 36 Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that
God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.”
