SPOTLIGHT AND GENERAL INFORMATION

Hello, my name is Mary Colosimo. I’d like to introduce myself as 35th Avenue Sew & Vac’s Director of Education and Events.

I have been sewing, like many of you, since I was knee high, and I was bitten by the quilting bug last year. I have experience in the adult education field, having worked at the university level training staff members and leading teams to provide the best ser-

vice and learning experience possible for thousands of students.

I earned my Master’s degree in Adult education in 2003. It is my belief that every student is also a teacher and every teacher is also in class to learn from her students. My goal is to find out what we’re doing well and what we could do better in terms of our classes and events. Please let me know what classes or events we are not offering that you wish we would as well as what classes you took in the past you found particularly helpful or would like to see again. We are expanding our class offerings at every location and we want to meet your needs. Please email me [email protected] with feedback or class/event requests. You can also call me at 602-841-5427.If you have NEVER taken a class with us I’d like to know what has prevented you from joining our community of learners. Final-

ly, if you know of anyone that may be interested in teaching at 35th Avenue, please send them my way! Thank you, Mary.
