Executive Summary

The main purpose of this study is to explore the extent to which the organizations may adopt

Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and to examine the current HRIS uses, benefits

and barriers in organizations. This dissertation paper tries to observe the impact of Impact of

Human Resource Information System (HRIS) on organizational Success. Essential data

are collected through primary and secondary sources i.e. primary data from surveys regarding

Impact of Human Resource Information System (HRIS) on organizational Success. Data are

also gathered from various websites and journals. Application of Human Resource

Information system both in production & service organization has brought a revolutionary

change in accelerating and facilitating the workforce in all aspects.

The dramatic influences of rapidly advancing Information system are contributing to a

number of benefits, one could possibly imagine. The benefits are uncountable starting from

proving information to the clients, investors and all other stake holders and much more. We

are also aware of the negative impacts it has on our environment; overuse or incorrect use of

information system. However, it cannot be denied that information system particularly HRIS

plays a very important role in shaping present day society and its impacts are notably

remarkable particularly in new age working environment & culture. In addition, it will only

contribute to the overall speed up of the organization particularly in maintaining the

Management of Human Resources. Human Resource Information System (HRIS) as a

structural factor and instrument transforms architect of organizations, business processes

and communication, and is increasingly integrated into human resource management

(HRM) . At present the role of HRIS has greater impact in organizations specially in strategic

decision making going beyond it’s traditional role.

While HRIS has impacts on human resource (HR), at the same time managers,

employees, customers and suppliers increase their expectancies for HR functions. The

importance of knowledge and human capital make extra suppression on HR

functions and new competencies for HR professionals are expected.

In this research, the Impact of Human Resource Information System (HRIS) on

organizational success has been studied.
